July 2013: Couple Found Dead In Jonesville Home

Police received a call to come out to the scene of a home located on Furman Fendley Highway in Jonesville, South Carolina. When they arrived, they were greeted by a man who claimed that something was wrong inside the home and that he had arrived to pick up his car from the auto-mechanic who lived at the house.

The man had attempted to go inside the home to see if he could find the couple but was stopped at the door by two vicious dogs, who appeared to be upset.

As police made their way inside, they found two dead bodies–a man and a woman–on two separate couches in the living room den area. The bodies were covered in blood.

Police later identified the victims as 59-year-old Charles Parker and his wife, 51-year-old Gretchen Parker. An autopsy performed on the couple indicated that they had both been shot and stabbed. The female victim also had her throat sliced.

At first glance, it looked like this brutal crime could have been a botched home invasion or a robbery gone wrong. But, there was no forced entry and nothing appeared to be missing from the home.

The shocking murder baffled the small town until police held a press conference, stating that they had arrested the killers: 36-year-old Christine Moody and her husband, 30-year-old Jeremy Moody.

It was revealed that The Moodys were a married couple who had a penchant for Neo-Nazi, white supremacy groups, judging by Jeremy Moody’s online activity.

When the killer couple was taken into custody, Jeremy Moody revealed that they had targeted Charles Parker because he was a sex offender, a deviant behavior that Moody believed was disgusting, according to the New York Times .

“He went through our sex offender registry and individually picked out targets.”

Video footage captured at the Parkers home showed Jeremy and Christine Moody arriving at the victims’ residence, where they pretended to have car trouble. Then, Jeremy and Christine Moody could be seen entering the couple’s home with a gun.

Snapped: Killer Couples will show that Christine was starting over in life when she met Jeremy, a preacher’s son who seemed to love the church. It was the church life that attracted and connected Christine to Jeremy.

They had an intense attraction to each other that was punctuated by passionate sex. It seemed that Christine worshiped Jeremy as indicated by her demeanor in the courtroom, where she smiled and looked at Jeremy with loving eyes.

Authorities say that Jeremy was more than just a preacher’s son; he was a violent and hateful individual who they already had on their radar.
