Normani Kordei is now addressing those feud rumors with her Fifth Harmony bandmate Camila Cabello. The rumors first swirled last week when Normani was struggling to find something nice to say about her pop star contemporary in an interview with reporters.
Fifth Harmony fans assumed that since Normani Kordei couldn’t find anything nice to say about Camila Cabello, there’s probably a feud between the two. Rumors about an apparent feud among the members have plagued the U.S. girl group for years. Now, Kordei has addressed those alleged feud rumors and told fans not to buy into them.
On Friday, August 5, Normani took to Twitter to address the backlash she’s received from Harmonizers, according to E! Online . In a lengthy post , the singer addressed the feud and said that she feels like she’s been targeted by her own fans lately.
“I would like to address and issue that has been completely blown out of proportion,” the 20-year-old wrote. “It is a shame that after four years together as a group I have to address foolishness manufactured by those who have absolutely no idea what goes on. I have shown nothing but commitment for the success of Fifth Harmony even promoting my days off but yet I always find myself the target of unjust hate and slander.”
She went on to explain that she gives “110 percent” on and off the stage. Despite her efforts, Kordei has learned that people still won’t treat her with the respect she deserves. She also insisted that she has nothing but “love and respect” for her four bandmates. Even if her fans choose not to believe her, she feels that she finally has a clear conscious since getting this off her mind.
Normani finished off her note by asking fans of Fifth Harmony to allow the singers to write their own story instead of making up rumors.
“I am the keeper of my heart and I’m not meant for everyone to understand but you can respect me while trying to.”
Camila Cabello has yet to respond to the backlash from her bandmate’s interview even though she’s been active on social media. According to Xpose.ie , the singer took to Twitter to wish President Barack Obama a happy birthday, telling her fans that she’s sad that it’s the last year of his presidency in wake of the November election.

The feud rumors between the two singers started when Normani Kordei participated in a Facebook Live interview with Galore magazine. During the interview, she was asked to describe some of her bandmates’ best qualities. When it came to Ally Brooke, she called her “sunshine,” and referred to Dinah Jane as the “turn up queen.” When she was asked about Lauren Jauregui, she said that she is the group’s “therapist.”
As for Camila Cabello? Well, Normani had a hard time figuring out what to say about her 19-year-old band member.
“She is…let’s see. Camila. Very quirky. Yeah,” Kordei responded. “Very quirky. Cute.”
Fans took note of Kordei’s response and accused her of shading Cabello by taking too long to find something nice to say about her fellow singer.

It’s always been rumored that the two singers don’t like each other for reasons unknown. They have also been the center of the Fifth Harmony split rumors. However, Normani’s Twitter response was to deny any bad blood between her and Camila. She even accused Harmonizers of starting the rumors in the first place. She did, however, hint that even though there are times when she doesn’t get along with people she sends them love anyway.
