There’s a saying called you are what you eat. Well now you can eat what you tweet! Pillsbury Toaster Strudel decided to get hip with the social media of today, by signing their brand up for Facebook and Twitter .

That’s not all. The Pillsbury Strudel Düdeler, a machine that’s in-line with tweets, is said to be making very cool icing art on the strudel that details what Twitter users are tweeting out there.

For those who are a bit confused how Toaster’s Strudel is spying on your tweets, this is how it works. Users who want to eat their tweets can tweet at the company’s Twitter name, @ToasterStrudel for a picture of their tweeted pastry. One thing to remember to include is the nifty hashtag that Strudel has created in support of the Düdeler, #StrudelArt.

The #StrudelArt idea was all started in hopes to gain more fans to Strudel’s new social accounts, which they created three weeks ago. Currently their Toaster Strudel has 55,000 Facebook likes and their Twitter has 362 followers. It goes without saying that they have a long way to go to hit Ashton Kutcher’s numbers, who was the first person to hit a million followers on Twitter.

The machine is said to be automated, so that after the Strudel team picks the best #StrudelArt tweets, the pastry then gets decorated in the icing. These tweets are said to be selected in the early hours of the morning.

Why did Toaster’s Strudel decide to start social accounts in the first place, you ask? Well, it’s all part of a new promo tool to debut their new spokes-character Hans Strudel, a boy from the land of Breakfürg.

If you live in New York then you may be able to receive your Twitter creation, as the strudel truck is coming August 27 and 28.

Here’s our favorite Strudel tweet:

I think my father, the inventor of @ToasterStrudel , WOULD be pleased to hear about this: http://t.co/pnDzu8AJm4 #StrudelArt #toastyad
