Shannon Beador allegedly “broke down” during filming on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 reunion after sharing the news of her impending divorce from husband David.
According to a new report, Shannon Beador revealed that she and David had decided to end their 17-year marriage to her Bravo TV co-stars during filming on the reunion special after months of rumors claiming they were on the verge of a split.
“Shannon broke down during the reunion show filming and apologized to her cast mates for defending David so adamantly,” an insider close to the show revealed to Radar Online on October 27.
Throughout The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12, Shannon Beador opened up about her marital problems to her co-stars, including Tamra Judge, and during a recent episode of the show, she admitted she was miserable and feeling disconnected from David. At the same time, Beador vehemently denied that her husband was ever abusive towards her, despite news of his 2003 assault arrest.
“Everyone forgave her and feels for her,” the source explained.
On the show, Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd were all seen talking about the marital troubles between Shannon Beador and her husband, but upon her divorce announcement, the women rallied around her and showed their support for her situation. The Real Housewives of Orange County cast was also said to be “proud” of Shannon Beador.
Radar Online ‘s insider went on to reveal that Shannon Beador was reportedly “a mess” during the reunion taping and said she was feeling “very ashamed and raw.”
On Friday, October 27, Shannon Beador confirmed the news of her split publicly with a statement to The Daily Dish .
In her statement, Shannon Beador revealed she and David had made the difficult decision to separate after 17 years of marriage and told her fans and followers that they remained committed to co-parenting their three daughters, Adeline, Sophia, and Stella. She also said that she hoped her audience would allow her and David some privacy as they embark on “this transitional time.”
