Former The Hills star Jason Wahler tied the knot this weekend in California… and one day later, ex-girlfriend Lauren Conrad announced her own engagement.
Jason Wahler is known to reality fans for his Hills stardom, as well as a stint on the post-reality show reality show Celebrity Rehab . The former boyfriend of Lauren Conrad married girlfriend Ashley Slack at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California following a November engagement.
Not to be outdone, Lauren Conrad — who dated Wahler and starred alongside him on the MTV California reality shows including The Hills and Laguna Beach — also made some wedding plans, announcing an engagement to boyfriend William Tell.
Wahler had similar aisle plans in the past, but broke his engagement to athlete Katja Decker-Sadowski before settling down and finding a wife.
Conrad blogged :
“I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled!”
People reported upon Jason’s quiet nuptials, saying :
“After proposing to Slack in November 2012, Wahler made it official on Instagram, sharing a picture of his then-fianceé’s diamond sparkler with the caption, ‘Love you babe!’ ”
Slack had also Facebooked the engagement back in 2012, saying of the wedding plans:
“I said yes! I am the happiest girl in the whole wide world and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.”
According to E! , Jason Wahler’s wedding was more low key than some recent celeb receptions, and the network dishes:
“When they were finally pronounced husband and wife, Jason and Ashley held hands and the bride raised her white rose bouquet in the air with happiness… As the newlyweds walked out, guests tossed white rose petals while the groom could not contain his excitement and stared at his new wife. The couple went to pose for pictures on a nearby bridge and they were seen kissing and smiling at each other the entire time.”
Wahler also spoke to Us , saying:
“Cabo was absolutely amazing. I had my sponsor, my family, my best friends. Everything in my life right now is just like too good to be true. I feel over-deserving.”
