Lil’ Kim has brought back rap beefs with a response to Nicki Minaj’s “Roman’s Revenge.”
Kim set the track to what is perhaps the awesomest beat of all time, the sample used in Pharoahe Monch’s classic joint “Simon Says.” A full version of the song is finally up after a slew of teasers heavy with station identification.
Hot 97 in New York has been interspersing the interview with a snippet of Minaj ripping on Kim in an earlier interview with the station:
“She just really jumped out the window,” Nicki said of Kim’s comments on New York’s Hot 97 radio station during an interview. “You gotta be careful when you pick fights. That’s what I’ve learned in this business; you just never know. I think people get me mistaken for a real Barbie. They forget where I’m from, and if I have to revert back, I can and I will. So don’t play with me.”
