Miley Cyrus apparently isn’t in any real rush to make up with Sinead O’Connor.
The drama between the two singers began after O’Connor issued an open letter to the former Hannah Montana star on Facebook. According to the Irish songstress, Cyrus is in extreme danger of being seriously exploited by the music industry. The “Wrecking Ball” singer doesn’t exactly agree with this theory.
According to The Associated Press , Miley Cyrus doesn’t plan to play nice with Sinead O’Connor in the near future. When asked if she planned to make up with the singer, Cyrus told the outlet that she didn’t know when or if things would settle down.
“I don’t know. Are we supposed to kiss?” Cyrus recently explained.
Although O’Connor tried to warn the “We Can’t Stop” singer about the dangers of the music industry, Miley Cyrus wasn’t in the mood to listen. Instead of just nodding politely and going about her business, the former Disney darling called out Sinead’s previous battle with bipolar disorder .
“My problem with you stems from your response to my first letter. Until you exposed me (and Amanda Bynes) to abuse on the grounds of my having sought help (extremely coherently) to save my life, when experiencing suicidal compulsion as a side effect of a medication called Tegretol, I had no problem with you,” Sinead O’Connor explained in her second letter.
She added, “I hope that clarifies the confusion you expressed on Matt’s show, where you conveniently forgot how it got from someone sending you what was intended as a caring message to that same someone being extremely upset with you.. And then went on to repeat the very action which caused that upset.”
Cyrus has plenty to keep her busy at the moment. After months of building up substantial buzz, the singer finally dropped her new album Bangerz on the masses Tuesday.
