The main fight saw Quinton Jackson vs. Lyoto Machida in a Light Heavyweight bout, with crowd favorite B.J. Penn taking on Matt Hughes in a Welterweight bout. As always, if you don’t want to know the results, skip down the page to the video.
Fans got their money worth in the Light Heavyweight fight in a closely fought contest that saw Jackson defeating Machida via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28). The Welterweight bout though wasn’t so close, with Penn defeating Hughes via KO (punches) at 0:21 of round 1.
