Guy Fieri’s Lamborghini was stolen, and the man who stole it was sent to prison for life.
You may find it difficult to believe, but those words are accurate – as far as they go!
That’s because – although they are telling the truth – it’s just not the whole truth.
Max Wade,19, the car thief who stole Guy Fieri’s pride and joy , was also convicted of a whole range other crimes, which included attempted murder.
Wade was convicted in October of attempted murder, vehicle theft and other crimes, according to a report in the Marin Independent Journal. He was charged in Marin County Superior Court as an adult even though he was under 18 at the time the crimes were committed.
If Wade is granted parole, the life term could end earlier. However, he still faces a separate sentence of 21 years and four months in prison. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation states that offenders sentenced to life with the possibility of parole cannot be released until the Board of Parole Hearings decides that the person is fit to return to society.
The most serious of Wade’s crimes was a drive-by shooting that occurred in 2012, in Mill Valley. He was convicted of firing at a truck which contained two of his acquaintances, Landon Wahstrom, 18, and Eva Dedier, 17, of San Rafael.
The allegation by the prosecution was that Wade fancied Dedier and was jealous because she was with Wahlstrom.
During the process of investigating the shooting, detectives visited Wade’s storage locker. To their amazement, they discovered the $200,000 sports car stolen from Guy Fieri.
The Lamborghini was stolen in 2011, while it was still at a San Francisco dealership. The thief was both ingenious and agile as he rappelled from a high window to gain access to the building.
Guy Fieri, 46, is a television personality working for Food Network. He is also an American restaurateur, author, television personality, and game show host.
He is best known for his television series, “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”
