It came as a surprise to many that 50-year-old superstar Janet Jackson is preparing to welcome her first child. However, the singer and wife to Wissam Al Mana, 41, is very happy about preparing to become a mother, as a source shares with People .
“She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well. She actually feels very good about everything.”
Although the public was made aware of her pregnancy back in May, Janet has remained quiet about the pregnancy and kept a low profile. However, the mother-to-be was seen shopping in London’s Back in Action store for baby furniture this past Tuesday. She kept her baby bump concealed, however, under sweatpants, a black sweater, and matching scarf.

Entertainment Tonight shares the scene as Jackson , who rarely makes any public appearances, and certainly hasn’t made any since becoming pregnant, shopped around the London furniture store.
“An eyewitness tells ET that Jackson arrived at the store in a chauffeured black Mercedes along with her bodyguard, her assistant and two others from her entourage. Jackson was greeted by staff, who shut the doors for her visit and seated her at a table to seemingly go over some of their merchandise. According to the eyewitness, she also strolled the store and took an interest in one of the prams.”
As the publication shares, Janet seemed to be happy and in good spirits and healthy as she exited the shop with a bag filled with merchandise, following a 45-minute visit. She and Al Mana have a home in London, which is one of a few homes the couple owns around the world.

It was back in June that Janet’s brother, Tito Jackson, shared that Janet was expecting her first child with her husband. Tito spoke with People and stated that Janet is doing well.
“She’s doing very well. She’s taking it easy. [She’s] hoping for a healthy baby.”
Janet hinted about planning on a baby as far back as April, when she released a video to fans during which she apologized for canceling her expected Unbroken tour. She alluded to starting a family during the clip.
“We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change,” said Jackson in the clip . “I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can, try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders! But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana , a businessman, were married in a private ceremony back in 2012. At this point, reports are being made that, despite the singer being spotted out shopping, Jackson has been placed on bed rest by her doctors. A source shared that Janet was able to be out and mobile up until a couple weeks ago, stating that the “If” singer had taken her mother out to lunch. However, the progressing pregnancy is causing doctors to instruct differently at this point. The New York Daily News relays the words of the said source.
“She’s where all of her doctors are. But she had taken her mother out to lunch a few weeks ago.”
There is no confirmation as to when the due date of Janet Jackson’s first baby may be. It seems that the date isn’t far off by the looks of Jackson’s growing baby bump.
