President-elect Trump is prepping action star, Sylvester Stallone for a role in his administration.

According to the New York Daily News , the 70-year-old politician has tapped Stallone into considering a role as chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. However, if the 70-year-old action star, accepts the role, it still requires to be vetoed by the Senate. If the Rocky star gets the nod from the Senate, he will be saddled with the task of dispersing funds in support of artistic and creative projects. According to a source, Mr. Trump believes the Expendables star can make the arts great again.

“It’s been widely and wrongly assumed that a Trump presidency will be hostile to the arts. But Mr. Trump feels this sort of A-list appointment is precisely the shot in the arm that the industry needs.”

The independent federal organization founded in 1965 funds, supports and promotes everything from dance and design to museums and the opera. The current head of the agency is Jane Chu, a philanthropist who presides over a 14-member board and a budget of over $146 million.

The First Blood star has never shied away from politics. In 2008, he backed John McCain’s bid for the presidency, even though he was not a registered Republican. He has also spoken of his admiration for Donald Trump. Stallone described the 70-year-old Republican as “larger than life.” However, he was not exactly confident if the “blue-collar billionaire,” had what it took to function as the most powerful man in the world.

“I love Donald Trump. He’s a great Dickensian character. There are certain people like Arnold, Babe Ruth, that are larger than life. But I don’t know how that translates to running the world.”

The appointment will surely interest Stallone who has revealed that he wants to follow in the footsteps of his pal, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Terminator star was the governor of California in 2003 and won again in 2006. Stallone whose recent Rocky -spin off, Creed made $176 million at the box office said his wife called him crazy when he told her about his political plans.

According to a CNN story, Stallone’s action pal, Schwarzenegger has told Anti-Trump supporters to get behind the President-elect , moving forward. Schwarzenegger, who was speaking in an interview to promote the new season of Celebrity Apprentice, said it might be difficult for people to do, but it was a sacrifice that Americans needed to make.

“It is very important that we support the president and that we come together and stop whining. When someone is elected, then you get 100 percent behind them and you help them shape the future. It’s very hard for people to do that but that’s the effort we all have to make.”

In a run-off to the November elections, Arnie, a die-hard Republican had tweeted his conflicts at the divisive elections and said he would not vote Donald Trump as president.

“For the first time since I became a citizen in 1983, I will not vote for the Republican candidate as president. Like many Americans, I’ve been conflicted by this election.”

However, according to the Inquisitr, the action star who is reportedly worth $300 million got into an awkward situation with fellow actor Robert De Niro because he refused to endorse Clinton. The Raging Bull star refused to take a picture with Schwarzenegger at a gala dinner in California because he refused to vote either candidate.

The new host of the Celebrity Apprentice said his possible lines for firing people on the reality show included “You’re terminated,” “Hit the road,” “Consider this a divorce,” “Get to the chopper,” (in his thickest Austrian accent) and “Hasta la vista baby.”
