Vanessa Marcil has finalized her divorce from actor Carmine Giovinazzo, ending a process that began last summer.
The divorce process came to a conclusion in a Los Angeles court after the actress filed for divorce from her husband back in mid 2012. In the divorce filing, Vanessa Marcil cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
Vanessa Marcil and Carmine Giovinazzo were married in 2010 and had no children together, but were reportedly trying for children at one point.
Marcil, known for playing the role of Brenda in General Hospital and her work in Las Vegas , revealed in December that she had suffered at least two miscarriages during their marriage.
“V has had a miscarriage. our second one this year. thanx for the love and prayers…………..CDG,” the couple announced on Marcil’s Twitter page.
Vanessa Marcil also has a son, 10-year-old Kassius, with her former 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green, with whom she also shared some courtroom drama. Last year Green sued Vanessa Marcil claiming he had lent her $200,000 over the course of the time that they dated. He asked Marcil to repay loans, but she never did, and he took her to court to recoup his losses.
When their relationship ended, Green moved on to dating actress Megan Fox and Marcil hooked up with Giovinazzi. The pair have been popular on television, with Marcil starring in also starring in Beverly Hills 90210 . Giovinazzo is a cast member of CSI: NY .
This is the Vanessa Marcil’s second divorce. She was previously married to Corey Feldman, tying the know when she was 21 years old. They divorced after four years.
While not all the details of her recent divorce proceeding were made public, Vanessa Marcil had asked the court to terminate its jurisdiction to award spousal support, E! News reported . The documents were filed in court on August 17
