Sarah Jessica Parker: ‘I Love Matthew Broderick’

Everyone knows that Sarah Jessica Parker is married to Matthew Broderick, but the Sex And The City star has never commented on her relationship publicly.

The starlet can be like an open book when it comes to her popular TV series, or her fashion style, however she has remained quiet about her marriage to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star Matthew Broderick.

Now she is speaking about her man very candidly. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, talks about why she has been so reluctant to talk about her 16-year-old marriage.

Parker says that when people ask her how she makes her marriage work, she just answers “we don’t talk about it” and according to her that is a nasty response and not really true.

The actress explains that she and her husband Matthew come from a different time and place and all they ever wanted was to be good working actors.

Sarah Jessica Parker adds that having money was never part of their dream and they didn’t think about fame and money.

She says that they wanted to work in theater, to work with people whose work they admired, there wasn’t talk of being a celebrity.

Parker says that they didn’t feel obligated to talk about their marriage to others.

She still refuses to comment on the allegations that Broderick had an extra-marital affair in 2008 and she gushes about Matthew saying, “I love Matthew Broderick”.

“Call me crazy, but I love him. We can only be in the marriage we are. We’re very devoted to our family and our lives. I love our life. I love that he’s the father of my children, and it’s because of him that there’s this whole other world that I love.”

Theirs is not the usual story, Parker seems to be very level headed in a business in which you hear about scandals and divorce on a daily basis.

Sarah Jessica Parker was dating Robert Downey Jr. before she married Matthew Broderick in 1997. Her and Matthew have three kids.
