Olga Kurylenko Prepares For Busy Year With Vampire Academy, Magic City

Olga Kurylenko may not be a household name yet, but she should be. The beautiful actress has appeared in some big blockbusters over the last few years and her schedule is only getting busier.

Kurylenko, whose latest film Oblivion was released today on DVD, is currently starring in the Stars show Magic City. The actress also has three movies in the works, Vampire Academy, November Man, and Empires Of The Deep, and recently joined the cast of Despite The Falling Snow.

Kurylenko’s success shouldn’t be too surprising (she’s both beautiful and talented) but the actress said that she never imagined a day where she would be working beside the likes of Tom Cruise.

The actress told the Telegraph: “No (I didn’t have ambitions to be an actor). And you know why? Because I knew I couldn’t. You don’t dream about things that are impossible; that are out of your range. So I couldn’t dream. For me, that was never going to happen.”

Well, it happened. Olga moved to Paris in 1998 and soon found work as a model. After that, of course, came film.

Kurylenko grabbed her first acting gig in 2001 as Carole in the television series Largo Winch. Since then, she’s worked with Timothy Olyphant in Hitman, Mark Wahlberg in Max Payne, and Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace. She was also the leading lady in Terrence Malick’s To The Wonder and challenged Tom Cruise for the spotlight in Oblivion.

Here’s a look at Olga Kurylenko’s career in four minutes.
