UFOs filmed in Turkey: real evidence or biggest scam of all time

In my honest opinion that video filmed on 27 May 2008is a Fake, it is a miniature.

Whoever is doing the taping sure had a hard time keeping the camera/video still. Why? Also since this was filmed on different dates, couldn't better video equipment be obtained to capture more detail of this UFO? It looks good even though there are not more people involved in this video to make it more crediable. As always…more questions than answers.

I agree, anyone who's used a digital zoom knows it's almost impossible to keep the camera still.

You try to hand-hold a camera with the zoom fully extended and focused on a distant object – every micro movement you make translates as a shake or wobble. Even those with the steadiest of hands will get this shaky effect. Perhaps these people cannot afford better equipment.

You've obviously never filmed with the zoom out on a distant object while hand-holding the camera.

I'm sure you can do much better, so show us.

Uh… I have seen four, they were all different. We tend to impose an imaginary standard and shape on UFOs, but whoever built and pilot them don't give a rat's ass about the standards we would impose, you kow.

And they were hanging from what? Furthermore, seeing the distance, these must have been gigantic “chinese lanterns”.

The same applies to using an optical zoom, for that matter.

Okies, I believe there is someone out there, this footage is pretty awesome, but being a “Devil's Advocate” I have a few questions / theories.
The footage is taken over a few months, why did Yalcin not get a better camera once he discovered he could capture the fiootage after the first few sessions? or at least get someone in authority to attend his filming?
Does anyone really believe the occupants of the craft would not know they were being filmed? The footage from Ithe gulf war etc confirms that even we have the technology to see what is going on around our war machines even in total darkness. If the Extra Terrestrials on board the craft are as advanced as they must be, why have they not contacted us? (or have they?) They would be so advanced they would have nothing to fear from us, or are they simply avoiding passing on some super bug to us? or could our common cold exterminate them as in “War of the Worlds”? The footage over the ocean was pretty spellbinding, but why would they simply just hover over the ocean knowing they were being watched / filmed? Were they borrowing our water for fuel? Are we simply a refuelling station? If we were, why would they not refuel further from land? and in different locations to avoid being spotted / filmed? Is there something specific they require from that particular spot? Are they simply watching us? Are we simply an experiment of theirs (gone wrong)? I believe that if they were as advanced as they must be to be here, they would make some contact, even a “leave us alone, we are harmless” Are they the advance party? Are they sussing us out for invasion? Do they need our resources? Do they need another planet that will support them as they run out of room on their planet? Whatever, I will not believe anything until I see it for myself, or we get invaded, or farmed as a food source. If they have the means to travel here, and the obvious intelligence required to pilot these things, why have they not made contact? If we discovered life on another planet, I am sure we would allow ourselves to be identified, and possibly even offer our technology / science / medicine / advice etc to assist thier development…… Somebody convince me that this is real….;-j

I think people ask for proof that UFOs exist and then we get some credible video and immediately the media begins to portray it as a hoax. There's a lot more evidence of UFOs and extraterrestrials around than there is of god yet folks would rather believe in god and trivialize the idea that we're not alone in the universe.

To my eyes, the footage does look like it is was taken with a camera of a real object from some different vantage points. But the appearance over multiple days is surprising, and it's even more surprising that they never got better camera equipment (even a digital still camera!).

So I went looking with Google Maps and Flickr for unusual buildings that are close to the area.

The nearby Ataturk Stadium has an enormous gravity-defying shape, that looks a lot like this purported UFO:

It appears to be located across a small bay from Yenikent. I'm not saying that all the images in this footage can be attributed to the stadium, but some of them could. If my guess is correct that would imply some deliberate deception.

I'd like to add that this is all armchair sleuthing. I don't really know.
- I've never been there
- I surmised that the location was a place called “Yenikent” from other news stories
- I'm not sure if I have the right Yenikent (it looks like it's a hilly suburb rather than a coastal area), although the coastline is not far.
- The shape of the Ataturk Stadium isn't an exact match, but I have only a few vantage points to work with. It's possible that it looks exactly right, given enough camera blurriness and lighting conditions.

This video is in all likelyhood real. It is unlikely that hoaxers would go to lenght of using several different models to make these videos… we have these balls of light and then the 'saucers'. The part that the saucer glows also hints against a hoax. There were more sightings reported in the area. Moreover, the identity of the cameraman is known. There could be some more background shown with the saucers, but maybe it was all dark, they do show at least the moon. Since it looks too good to be true there will all sorts of morons out there proclaiming it fake without backing the claim with any rational reason.

I have serious problems with this video. First, why does it look like the “UFO” is level with the photographer? Is the “UFO” on the ground? Is the photographer in the air? Second, there is no perspective here. We're just looking at some object against a black background. For all we know, it's a toy hanging by a string against a black piece of cloth. In fact, this “UFO” looks suspiciously like a Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider toy I owned back in the 70's. This video is definitely a hoax.

Actually if you listen and read the bottom he swears at the tripod for not working properly. In one of the shots I think a tripod is used, but not in all of them all of the time.

The problem is this: if you have ever filmed anything, you will know how impossible to capture something on fill without distorting it unless is less that 100 feet away. That being said, how can you ever catch anything on fill that couldn't be one thing or the other? People say this is a cruse ship. Hell, I cant tell… professorials dubbed the video authentic and it looks like greys to me. When else could it be?

This one looks like a model of the Jupiter 9 from the original Lost in Space series. The thing I have a problem with are lights. Why would you need them? You need to light up the galaxy while you cruse along? Do they have high beams?

If you ask me this website is the only phony thing around filled with garbage ads. This video makes you look good.
