Toy Story 4 Confirmed? Pixar Reportedly Working For 2015 Release

Is Toy Story 4 in the works? According to two Colombian news sites, Disney and Pixar have confirmed that the new movie will be released in 2015.

Pixar and Disney have also reportedly confirmed that Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack will all return for the new movie.

Jorge Luis Balaguera, the entertainment coordinator for Radio Station RCN, writes on Twitter:

“In 2015, Pixar will release Toy Story 4, the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack confirmed for the main characters.”

Pixar and Disney have not made an official announcement, at least not in English, but Colombian news site Terra reports that the movie has been officially announced.

Terra writes (with some help from Google Translate):

“Disney announced that they are working on a new sequel to Toy Story, which could be released in 2015. Toy Story 3 was a huge success, bringing in over a billion dollars at the box office, and the story will resume in the new movie.”

What do you think about a new Toy Story movie? The reactions have been mixed so far.

On one hand, the third movie really was a perfect ending and another sequel could put a stain on the franchise. On the other hand, Toy Story 3 ended at a new beginning for the toys. A fourth installment would focus on the characters in their new home and would bring the story to a new generation of kids.

From a monetary standpoint it makes perfect sense for Disney and Pixar. The Toy Story franchise has brought in billions of dollars and if all of the major players are returning for the sequel then Pixar will probably be able to add another billion dollars to its bank account with the release of Toy Story 4.

Tom Hanks fueled the Toy Story 4 rumors last Summer when he told a reporter that he was pretty sure there would be another movie.

Hanks said: “I think there will be, yeah … I think they’re working on it now.”

AS long as they don't do a Land before time thing where they release 1058394 movies.I think a movie every 5 years is good. OR even the 10 year Hiatus between 2 and 3.

No. Toy Story 3 had a perfect ending to the franchise and I feel as though the fourth film will just ruin it.

You can never get enough of the Toy Story Characters. There is a whol generation of kids that weren't even born for the first couple. I would love to see what Bonnie and her new friends are up to…wouldn't you?

I love Toy Story. And I know I'm being hypocritical, because I will be first in line to see Toy Story 4 when it comes out, (because it's my childhood for crying out loud!). But, please… NO MORE TOY STORY SEQUELS! The shorts are fine! But, another full movie would just kill the franchise. Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending to a perfect trilogy! There's not way they can top it! Anything else would just feel like a total let down. Please Pixar, focus on making ORIGINAL material! That's why we love you so much! While every other major studio is shoving sequels, prequels, and reboots down our throats, you kept on making original concepts, and blew us away almost every time! But, if you insist on making a sequel, then why not just make an Incredibles 2? The Incredibles has far more potential in its pinky finger alone for a sequel than any other Pixar film combined! You can fight so many new villains, you can do so much! The possibilities are endless! I think Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toy gang are pretty much used up by now. They can do shorts. That's fine. But please, NO MORE TOY STORY SEQUELS! I don't want Toy Story to end up like Ice Age or Shrek! And Disney, before you try to expand any other movie franchise under your belt, please just focus on Star Wars Episode VII for now!
