“Chaplain Griego was a dedicated professional that passionately served his fellow man and the firefighters of this community. His calming spirit and gentle nature will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Greg’s extended family.”
Steve Stucker, a local weatherman with KOB-TV in Albuquerque, acknowledged his friendship with Greg Griego on his Facebook page. Stucker posted a moving tribute to the fallen Pastor:
“Greg was an ex con and former Gangbanger who Completely turned his life around through his Faith in Jesus. Greg, with the full support & blessing of his wife and family, spent the rest of his life visiting Jails & Prisons, sharing his story and changing Lives through the Love of Christ. I can’t pretend to speak for him…but I KNOW he would have asked us to Forgive the one who did this awful thing, because he never thought it was too late to change a person’s heart & mind.”
The staff at The Inquisitr send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Pastor Greg Griego. We will continue to update as more information becomes available.
