Another ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Hints That They Are Quitting The Show
Following the sudden exit of Simon Saran, Amber Portwood has suggested on Twitter that she may be in need of a break from her role on Teen Mom OG.
After announcing her exit at the end of last year but later deciding to return to the show, Amber Portwood is once again hinting that the latest season of Teen Mom OG may have been her last through a couple of re-tweets from a fan.
In her first re-tweet, a fan suggested that Amber Portwood should make arrangements to have her own spinoff show. The fan also mentioned the end of Teen Mom OG. In the second post, Amber Portwood shared a message that said she was in need of a break from reality television.
The second half of Season 6 of Teen Mom OG wasn’t exactly the easiest season for Amber Portwood. After all, her troubled relationship with fiance Matt Baier took center stage and ultimately ended during filming after a failed lie detector test and prescription drug controversy.
After the end of Teen Mom OG Season 6B, Amber Portwood made it clear on Twitter that she and Matt Baier weren’t getting back together despite the ongoing rumors of a possible reunion. She even recently denied that their split was a publicity stunt.

As fans of Teen Mom OG might recall, Amber Portwood told fans online at the end of last year that she was quitting the MTV reality show due to an alleged lack of respect behind the scenes. A short time later, she was called out by her Teen Mom OG co-star, Farrah Abraham, who said she would never quit the show.

In an interview with Us Weekly magazine, Abraham said that Portwood wouldn’t leave Teen Mom OG because she and her then-boyfriend, Matt Baier, needed the money. She also said her co-star wouldn’t walk away from the attention that being on a reality show brings.
A short time later, Amber Portwood’s return to the MTV reality series was confirmed.
