Selena Gomez Freezes Eggs Before Lupus Treatment? New Album Releasing In 2017?

Selena Gomez allegedly froze her eggs before starting chemotherapy in 2015. A new report revealed that the “Trust Nobody” singer’s doctors advised her to freeze her eggs as a safety precaution before they begin her lupus treatment.

An insider close to Selena Gomez told OK! magazine that the pop star decided to freeze her eggs before undergoing chemotherapy for her lupus last year.

“Selena was advised to freeze her eggs before she started chemotherapy last year. It was for her treatment against lupus. It’s very common for young women having chemo to do this. Selena hopes to be a mom some day.”

Even though Selena has always dreamt of becoming a mom, Celeb Dirty Laundry noted that the 24-year-old is not ready to settle down just yet. Insiders added that with her ongoing battle with her lupus-related depression and anxiety it would not be a wise decision for the pop star to start a family soon.

CDL added that Selena Gomez had no intention of raising a child on her own, and is willing to wait until she finds the right man. The site claimed that that could happen several years from now, after she retires.

“Selena knows that there’s no way she could continue her career and be a hands-on mother at the same time. That’s why she’s willing to wait until she officially retires before settling down with a child.”

News of Selena wanting to become a mother isn’t that all surprising to her fans. Selenators already know how close she is to her family, especially to her mom, Mandy.

In November, Hollywood Life reported that Selena Gomez turned down Taylor Swift’s Thanksgiving party invite to spend more time with her family. With all that’s going on in her life right now, insiders revealed that Selena just wanted to be with her family.

“Spending time with them is her priority,” the insider added.

Selena decided to cancel 34 remaining dates of her “Revival” world tour and take a break to manage her anxiety, panic, attacks, and depression. Sources told Us Weekly that while she is struggling from lupus, the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” star is taking a breather to focus on her mental health. She reportedly spent a few months in a rehab facility just outside of Nashville.

After three months, it seems like Selena Gomez is doing a lot better. Songwriter Justin Tranter, who worked with Selena on “Hands to Myself” and “Good For You” snapped a photo of the pop star in what appears like a recording studio early this week. Teasing the fans, he captioned the photo, “Music and love.” It did not take long before Selenators flooded Tranter’s Instagram, eager to find out more details about Selena’s next album. Selena’s ex Nick Jonas was also thrilled with her comeback, leaving a praise hands emoji comment on the photo.

An insider confirmed that Selena is indeed ready to make new music for her fans. After taking a quick break, the pop star reportedly felt inspired to continue making her third studio album, a follow-up to Revival, which was released in October 2015.

“Selena is back in L.A. and her main focus has shifted to recording. She wrote a lot of lyrics and melodies while she was in rehab. … She has so many ideas!”

Although Selena Gomez has yet to reveal the next album’s release date, Bustle predicted that Selenators could expect it to drop “within six months at the most.” The site pointed out that Selena has been working on new music while she was on tour and even dropped a new song, “Feel Me” back in May.
