Gwen Stefani Reportedly Plans To Diss Blake Shelton’s Ex-Wife Miranda Lambert On A New Song?

Does Gwen Stefani have a diss track against Miranda Lambert in the works?

According to a new report, the 47-year-old girlfriend of Blake Shelton is reportedly planning to stick it to Lambert, who recently released her new album, The Weight of These Wings, with a track slamming Lambert for allegedly giving up Shelton so easily.

“[Gwen Stefani] is ready to unleash some very personal songs about Miranda being the constant third wheel in [her] life,” a source revealed to In Touch Weekly magazine on December 8. “She’s also written several songs in which she calls Miranda out for just giving [Blake Shelton] up so easily.”

Shelton and Lambert were married for four years before announcing their divorce in July of last year. One month later, Gwen Stefani revealed that her own marriage had come to an end as well.

Gwen Stefani and her husband, Gavin Rossdale, parted ways in August 2015 after 13 years of marriage and three children together, Kingston, 10; Zuma, 8; and Apollo, 2. Then, months later, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, who were filming The Voice Season 9 at the time, went public with their own romance while out with friends in Nashville, Tennessee.

In the months that followed, both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton released albums about their heartbreak and finding love. They even wrote a song together, titled “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” when their relationship first began.

“I never ever meant to get so into you / Thought I was using you just to get me through / You know I’m broken I don’t trust anyone / Last thing I needed was to fall in love.”

Following the release of Gwen Stefani’s This is What the Truth Feels Like and Blake Shelton’s If I’m Honest, Miranda Lambert released The Weight of These Wings and right away, the In Touch Weekly magazine source alleged, Stefani reportedly felt attacked.

According to the magazine’s report, Gwen Stefani allegedly perceived Lambert’s album as a “direct shot at her and Blake,” and now, she’s reportedly done playing nice.

“[Gwen Stefani] had really tried to take the high road, but that is over,” the source continued. “Miranda won’t see it coming, and that is what Gwen is counting on.”

Gwen Stefani has not yet confirmed any plans for new music and appears to be enjoying her family time after wrapping up her tour weeks ago. Meanwhile, the musician is also preparing for her return to The Voice.

While Gwen Stefani parted ways with The Voice after Season 9, she appeared as a guest performer alongside Shelton during Season 10, and in October, it was confirmed that she would be returning to the coach panel in spring 2017 for Season 12.

On October 18, the network announced the exciting news, via Deadline.

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy [Gwen Stefani], Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12,” said Paul Telegdy, president, alternative and reality group, NBC Entertainment. “With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.”

In recent years, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera have alternated seasons as coaches but during Season 11, producers brought Miley Cyrus to the singing competition series.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance became a hot topic for fans during The Voice Season 9 after they went public in November after the Country Music Awards, and throughout the show, they were seen being flirtatious with one another. Since then, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have continued to thrive in their relationship and recently spent time together in Shelton’s hometown in Oklahoma where Stefani and her children joined the country singer at his home to celebrate Thanksgiving.
