It’s Official! Mario Lopez And Khloe Kardashian Named X Factor Hosts

With the weeks passing before X Factor shows go live, it’s been a question on everyone’s mind who will replace axed host Steve Jones. Well, the wait is over because it’s been officially announced that Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian will be sharing the hosting gig on the US X Factor show.

The two have reportedly been close to closing a deal for a few months before they finally inked what TMZ is called “a done deal.” According the to the site, Lopez and Kardashian are coming in with a hefty price. Their salary is said to “add millions to the budget” of the show, which is already inflated by their current talent budget with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as judges.

Khloe Kardashian, who’s known for her reality show family, opened up to E! in August about the possibility of taking the reigns, “I’ve always wanted to do hosting or talk-show hosting, so it’s definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do. To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that.” According to sources, her close friendship with judge Demi Lovato helped her score the high profiled spot.

Mario Lopez, however, is certainly no stranger to taking on the role of a host. Mario currently anchors and reports for entertainment shows Extra and America’s Best Dance Crew and has also been on the other side of the industry as an actor as well. Although Lopez has succeeded in the industry and Kardashian seems to know what she’s doing in the world of reality television, neither have tested together, so it’s unclear as to whether or not the two will have chemistry together as hosts.

Either way Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian are expected to make their X Factor debut in November when the show starts airing live. What do you think about the host choices?
