Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Head For Joint Custody As Drug And Cheating Accusations Swirl?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will likely agree to a joint custody situation for their six kids once their temporary custody agreement expires next week.

According to a new report, Jolie may want sole physical custody of the children, including Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, but an expert claims it would be ridiculous if she were granted with her request.

In an interview with Hollywood Life on October 12, lawyer Kelly Chang Rickert, who is not involved with Brad Pitt’s divorce and custody battle with Jolie, said she believed the estranged couple would soon share legal and physical custody of their kids.

“It is absolutely ridiculous to think either of them will end up with no visitation or custody of the children — visitation and custody are the same in California courts. When you have visitation, you have custody,” the attorney explained.

“In California, in a divorce or separation, the courts have a duty to ensure frequent and continuing contact with both parents,” Chang Rickert continued. “The deal they struck is only ‘temporary’ until a Judgment or further order is in place. [Brad Pitt] does not currently have monitored visitation with his children. The first meeting would have been with a monitor who will then subsequently determine whether future visits would be monitored.”

Chang Rickert then revealed that Jolie’s request for sole physical custody of the children may have been due to its legal label of allowing her to leave the country without incident. As she explained, Brad Pitt would have to prove Jolie’s potential move was detrimental to their children in order to prevent it from happening.

While Brad Pitt is currently being investigated after child abuse claims were made against him, the case is expected to be dropped due to insufficient evidence. That said, when his temporary agreement with Jolie expires on October 20, the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services will reportedly have the ability to inflict new rules on Pitt and Jolie — or send them to court.

On September 14, Brad Pitt was allegedly involved in an altercation with his son, 15-year-old Maddox on his and Jolie’s private plane. Although no evidence of a fight has been revealed, Pitt has been accused of getting physical with the boy prior to a brief stop in Minnesota before the family returned to their home in Los Angeles.

One day after the fight, Jolie reportedly moved out of the home and took her kids to a Malibu, California, rental before filing for divorce on September 19.

As their custody battle continues, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are facing rumors of drug use and cheating. Earlier this week, a report was published in which it was claimed that Jolie was using drugs after spiraling out of control during her marriage to Brad Pitt. However, Gossip Cop quickly shot down the report, claiming Jolie is not using drugs and remains focused on her children.

In other Brad Pitt news, the actor’s estranged wife has also been accused of cheating on him with a billionaire. Months after Pitt was tied to his Allied co-star, Marion Cottilard, sources claimed Jolie had been unfaithful to Pitt. As HNGN revealed to readers, Jolie reportedly met the billionaire while working on her humanitarian efforts overseas, which he was said to be involved with as well.

Both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have remained unseen in the weeks since Jolie filed for divorce.
