Did Brad Pitt cheat on Angelina Jolie? Rumors that Brad Pitt has been having an affair with Marion Cotillard have been circulating for several months, sources claiming that Brad and Marion had insane chemistry while working on the film Allied. Not unlike how Brad met his soon-to-be ex-wife Angelina Jolie, sources say that Brad had an affair with Cotillard and that his relationship with her ultimately ended his marriage.

According to Page Six, Jolie hired a private investigator to spy on her husband of two years and what she found out caused her to file divorce papers.

“She hired a private eye because she felt that he was fooling around with her on the set, and it turns out, he was. And that was the final straw,” said a source. The investigator reportedly uncovered a two-year affair that Brad had been having with Marion Cotillard and also uncovered that Brad had gotten “caught up” in a scene of “hard drugs” and “Russian hookers,” spending many nights partying like a single guy.

Rumors that Brad Pitt cheated on Angelina Jolie with Marion Cotillard are only gaining momentum after Jolie filed legal paperwork to divorce Pitt. According to X 17, Cotillard is pregnant with her second child, and the baby could be Brad’s.

“The French actress just confirmed in a cover story for Closer magazine that she’s with child, though no one seemed to be speculating when the French actress showed up in a voluminous dress on the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival last week.”

Despite all of these rumors, TMZ has been posting updates about the Brangelina divorce, sources telling them that the couple’s shocking split has nothing to do with an affair.

“Angelina reached her breaking point last week over Brad’s consumption of weed and alcohol and combined with what she says are Brad’s anger issues… his interactions with the kids created a deal breaking problem for her. We’re told squarely… no third person is involved,” TMZ reported.

Brad Pitt cheated on Jennifer Aniston with Angelina Jolie in the early 00’s, which everyone should remember, so rumors that he cheated on Jolie are almost expected. This could be why the rumors won’t die despite what other sources (perhaps linked to Pitt) want you to believe.

Since filing for divorce, Jolie released a statement via her manager. She kept it short and sweet and made no mention of anything specific.

“Angelina will always do what’s in the best interest to protect her children. She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time,” Jolie’s manager, Geyer Kosinski, said in a statement after the divorce news hit the internet.

Fans are far less outraged about Brad Pitt affair rumors than you might think. Most have taken the approach of “once a cheater, always a cheater” or “if he cheats with you, he’ll cheat on you.” Of course, this is assuming that Brad Pitt actually cheated, of course.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Brad Pitt may end up dating Marion Cotillard publicly, just as he did with Jolie after that “secret” was exposed. If Cotillard is pregnant and the baby is Brad’s, there’s a fine chance that these two will give a serious relationship a go. As sources point out, however, Cotillard would have been having an affair as well. She has supposedly been dating French actor and director Guillaume Canet since 2007.

A rep for Cotillard could not be reached for comment, according to the New York Post.

Meanwhile, Jolie has lawyered up, hiring Laura Wasser, one of the best divorce attorney’s in Hollywood. She has requested sole physical custody of her six children and has not asked Pitt for any kind of spousal support. According to In Touch Weekly, Brad Pitt will seek joint custody in his response to the filing.
