Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo To Meet On September 8
Come September, a dual treat awaits the fans of Descendants of the Sun. Their favorite star couple, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, will meet once again.
Thanks to Descendants of the Sun, the military drama helped garner a huge fan following for Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo — the lead stars who went on the became Asia’s favorite celebrity couple.
The enigmatic duo share several nicknames. While some fondly call them the Song Song couple, others refer to them as KiKyo pair. The charismatic twosome is also fondly remembered as Beauty and the Big Boss.
If all goes well, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo will meet next month at the gala of Seoul International Drama Awards. The awards ceremony will be held at KBS hall on September 8. Most probably, both Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo will show up to share the glory.

The effort put in by these stars, along with the cast and crew of the drama, has not gone unnoticed. The storyline and the stars have become popular not just in Asia, but also in the U.S. and Europe. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Descendants of the Sun has been nominated for the Hallyu Drama Award.
Despite their hectic schedule, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have always been present at fan meets and other events that revolve around Descendants of the Sun. There is no reason why they may have to miss this one. Although the Song Song couple have not confirmed their attendance, fans are hoping to see them at the gala.

The last time Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo were spotted together was during the recording of the extras for the DVD version of Descendants of the Sun.
We must wait and watch if Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo will come together holding hands just like they did at Baeksang awards.
Fans went berserk when a beautiful Song Hye-kyo, dressed like a princess, was escorted by Song Joong-ki who played Prince Charming. Much to the delight of the fans who want them to take their on-screen romance offline, the couple walked hand-in-hand and posed for photographs.
Nonetheless, both Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have always denied rumors that they are seeing each other.
On the sets of Descendants of the Sun, the couple shared a spectacular chemistry. Both of these co-stars were gracious and have only good things to say about each other.
According to a report by Couch Kimchi, Song Joong-ki, in an earlier interview said the following about his co-star.
“I felt really happy to be able to film together with Korea’s most beautiful actress. Everyone thinks it’s because of her outward appearance that she became famous, but after working together, I realized her inner heart and personality are also good. Moreover, she has lots of acting experience and I actually did learn a lot from her.”
Song Hye-kyo responded in kind.
“When I first read the script, I thought that this drama’s success depended on how the lead actor plays his part and he made it possible. Song Joong-ki played his role so attractively that it even made my heart flutter. That led to the unexpected response from the viewers,” Song Hye-kyo added.
Song Joong-ki recently told Soompi that even if he were in a relationship, he will make sure he keeps it under wraps.
“I have no plans to go public if I get into a relationship. I will do my best to safeguard the privacy of the person I love and respect her feelings. I may also want to keep the [relationship] a secret,” said Song Joong-ki.
Meanwhile, the hashtag #SongSongcouple has been trending on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram even after the military romance concluded in April.
