Even Christina Aguilera Was Rooting For Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake To Get Back Together

It seems like some people still can’t let go of the fact that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will never get back together. After all, Justin’s a married man and a father now. He’s been married to actress Jessica Biel for almost the past four years.

However, there is one person who was still hoping that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake would get back together. According to a report via VH1, Aguilera mentioned in an old interview with E! News while doing press for her “Stripped/Justified Tour” that Timberlake should get back together with Spears.

“I just see a lot of girls around [Timberlake]—he knows this—that are just so out to be with him for him and the whole thing,” Aguilera said. “Cut it. Give me a break. Britney has known him since she was a little girl before he was Justin the star and he was just Justin.”

Timberlake sat awkwardly next to Aguilera as she reminisced about what could have been. He started to whistle the Jeopardy theme song to make things less awkward.

“I don’t want to make somebody uncomfortable, so we’ll just drop that subject,” Aguilera said after she got the hint.

“Too late for that,” Timberlake added jokingly.

It seems like everyone wants Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake back together, even if it’s just for business reasons. Back in May, Perez Hilton claimed the reason why Spears delayed her latest single, “Make Me,” is because she was planning on sampling Timberlake’s song “Cry Me a River.” It was supposed to be her long-awaited response to his song about their infamous split. He then claimed that Spears was finally getting her revenge after all of these years.

“Industry professionals on Twitter have been asking Britney’s publicist… if she’s ‘still’ planning on featuring the infamous diss track in ‘Oooh!'”

According to Gossip Cop, the rumor was started by a reporter who was simply just joking. Since then, Spears’ new single has dropped, and it clearly doesn’t sample “Cry Me a River.” The pop star also just released her new music video for the song, which shows her having a private casting call with her gal pals.

Interestingly enough, several stories about Spears and Timberlake getting back together have been coming out of the woodwork. In late April, OK! Magazine ran a story that Timberlake was going to join Spears during her “Piece of Me” shows in Las Vegas. That same tabloid also said that that Timberlake reached out to Spears to record a song with her, but Jessica Biel “put a stop to it.” Gossip Cop has debunked both of those stories, claiming that there is nothing going on between these two artists.

Then, Life & Style ran a story claiming that Spears was the one who wanted to record a song with Timberlake after hearing his new song “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” However, her father, Jamie, has tried to put a stop to it. An alleged source claimed that the mom-of-two has been listening to the song “non-stop.”

“She has been dancing to it with sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney is very eager to work with Justin again and asked her camp to reach out to Justin to see if there was any interest. Britney has always said that Justin was the love of her life and wishes she could have met him at this time of her life.”

The two have only been back together on the music charts. According to E! News, Spears’ “Make Me” knocked Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” off the top of the iTunes charts. In response to the news, Spears thanked her fans for their support. Spears’ new album, Glory, is coming out later this month.
