Amber Portwood Cancels October Wedding, ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Not Marrying Matt Baier
Amber Portwood has been heavily criticized for her relationship with Matt Baier. The Teen Mom OG star has been with him for quite some time and the two became engaged last fall. People around Portwood have been suspicious of Baier’s motives, especially given the fact that he allegedly attempted to start relationships with Jenelle Evans and Farrah Abraham prior to Amber. There have been some red flags in his past that have been brought up in the media, and it looks like they took a toll on their relationship.
Teen Mom OG has chronicled the relationship between Amber Portwood and Matt Baier. There was an incident last season where Gary Shirley presented his ex-girlfriend with some evidence about her man in front of the cameras. The paperwork showed that Baier had several kids with various women, and that sent up huge red flags. While Portwood was upset, she played it cool in front of the cameras. According to the Ashley, Amber Portwood has canceled her upcoming wedding. She has decided to take a step back and rethink her decisions. While it appears she is still in a relationship with Matt, Amber has decided to let the new season of Teen Mom OG explain her decision to cancel the wedding.
There was supposed to be three weddings this October with the ladies from the Teen Mom franchise. Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Chelsea Houska were all set to walk down the aisle. Fans of Teen Mom OG are happy that Amber has decided to cancel the wedding. There has been a lot of concern about the way he treats her, especially after his explosive outburst in Las Vegas during the time they got engaged. With a significant age gap between them, moving slow is definitely her best option. Rumors have been circulating that Portwood experienced a miscarriage at some point and that Baier was incredibly upset over it. Allegations were that he hit her, though nothing has been confirmed. When Amber announced that she had canceled the wedding, she revealed that the events leading up to it would play out on Teen Mom OG this season.
Speculation is that Amber Portwood was upset over the revelation of Matt Baier’s many children and their mothers. Several of them filed for child support in Indiana, where he currently resides with the Teen Mom OG star. The two have been working on flipping houses for extra income. Teen Mom OG pays Portwood a pretty hefty salary for filming, and sometimes there are two seasons a year. All of the information came out at different times, and it was almost like once the couple got over one issue, two more issues were thrown their way. Portwood has been working on staying sober and clean for her daughter and has grown up a lot since her Teen Mom days. Stress like this used to set her off, but now she is handling her issues like an adult. The rational decision was to take a step back and reevaluate the situation with Baier.
Fans are interested to see how Amber Portwood will cancel the wedding to Matt Baier and his reaction to her decision. Teen Mom OG will be returning with an all-new season on August 22. It is going to be intense with Catelynn Lowell heading to rehab, Farrah Abraham doing outrageous things, Maci Bookout getting engaged and subsequently finding out she was pregnant, and the drama between Portwood and Baier. While there won’t be a fairytale wedding for Amber, she probably saved herself a lot of heartache. Sometimes love is blind and it takes people a little longer than it should to realize something isn’t right with the one they love. Thankfully, Amber Portwood took a step back and will be listening to her gut when it comes to Matt Baier this time around.
