Gigi Hadid’s Sister Bella Is Encouraging Zayn Malik To Propose [Report]

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have only been dating for about eight months, but according to a new report, that hasn’t stopped Hadid’s younger sister, Bella, from encouraging the singer to propose.

Just weeks after the couple temporarily split, a source claims Bella is on board with Gigi Hadid’s potential engagement.

“Bella’s been joking with Zayn that he’s being slow and drawn out, and needs to looks after her big sister as she’s one of the world’s highest-paid models and has taken his career to new heights of cool,” a source told the Sunday Mirror, according to a July 26 report by The Record. “She gets on really well with Zayn and has told him she’d love him as a brother in law.”

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik began dating last November and in April of this year, their relationship hit a rocky point. However, after ultimately splitting, the couple got back together in early June and had appeared to be going strong in the weeks since. But while they seem to be serious, The Record pointed out that Malik would likely be reluctant to rush into an engagement with Gigi Hadid following his failed engagement to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.

That said, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are reported to be “back to normal” following their short split.

“Things are back to normal with them,” a source close to Malik told E! News earlier this month. “They got through a rough patch that Zayn was facing personally and it started to put a dark cloud on their relationship. [Gigi Hadid] was there for him when he needed her the most and that brought them closer than ever.”

The “dark cloud” the source was referring to was Malik’s struggles with anxiety, which prompted him to canceled a scheduled performance in the U.K. last month and release a statement to fans on Twitter. In his statement, Malik said he was experiencing the worst anxiety of his life. In response, Gigi Hadid released a post of her own, in which she applauded Malik for opening up to his fans and told the singer that she loved him and was there to offer her support.

“They have been spending some alone time together lately without the media seeing them,” the E! News source continued. “Zayn is feeling better with the help of Gigi and many other close people in his life. It’s a work in progress for him.”

While Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik don’t appear to be engaged quite yet, nor has there been any signs that an engagement could be coming soon, her sister is said to be a fan of Malik. On the other hand, Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Foster, formerly of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, may not feel the same.

Earlier this year, after Foster admitted that she hadn’t yet met Malik, a source claimed the former reality star didn’t approve of the singer and felt he might be using her daughter for publicity.

“Yolanda is not too keen on her daughter’s new romance,” a source revealed to Closer magazine, according to a Sugarscape report. “She really liked Gigi’s ex, Joe Jonas – she thought he was completely devoted to her daughter and always kept things very low profile. But she worries Zayn relishes the fame his relationship with Gigi gives him.”

The source went on to reveal that Malik’s mother, Trish, was also not a fan of Gigi Hadid and felt that her son would be better off with someone more “down to earth,” such as his ex-fiancee, Edwards.
