Ozzy Osbourne Says Split With Sharon Is Just ‘A Bump In The Road’, Has He Finally Learned From His Mistakes?

The high-profile drama of rocker Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon’s rocky marriage has been in the headlines for weeks now after a blunt confession broke the news on their apparent split. The couple has been pretty quiet recently until now as the singer, along with son Jack, sat down for an interview on Good Morning America on Monday.

The Osbourne men were interviewed by GMA correspondent Jesse Palmer as they have a new show on the History Channel that they are promoting. As seen in the interview that was posted on Yahoo, Ozzy was first asked about the current state of his relationship with Sharon. He made it sound like they are doing better and that they are still working on their 33-year marriage. He said that they are just having a bump in the road and they are working it out.

“Oh, she’s back on track again. You just, you make mistakes, and you learn by your mistakes, I think.”

The raspy voice of the Black Sabbath lead vocalist defended his marriage to Sharon, saying that they have their good days and bad ones. He even said that despite the fact that sometimes you just drift apart for a bit, you get back on the horse and get past it. Ozzy Osbourne certainly doesn’t believe in fairy tale endings.

“And we both live happily ever after? I’d like to find the person who wrote that, and poke him in the eye with a burning stick. Some days it’s good, some days it’s terrible, some days you just drift apart for a while, but you get back on the horse, you know?”

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have had many bumps in the road during their marriage, but this time it sounded like she had had enough of it. She announced in front of millions of people on her show, The Talk, that she was done, or at least she needed time to sort things out and to find out what living on her own would be like.

“I’m 63 years of age and I can’t keep living like this. I don’t know where I’m going, who I’m going with. And I just need time to think.”

According to her 67-year-old husband, they may have already sorted it out. Did Sharon find that living on her own was tougher than living with Ozzy? She may end up giving everyone an update soon by responding to what he said this morning.

Ozzy Osbourne also seems to be back on track with his personal struggles that he has fought with in the past. He just told Goldmine Magazine in a recent interview that he has been clean and sober for three years now, so he seems to be getting his life, and possibly his marriage, back on track.

“I am coming up on three years sober, and I’ve just come back from a meeting, actually. I’ve reached a really weird place with it. I am not really happy being sober, but I don’t want to get drunk. Someone told me that at three years sober they felt exactly the same.”

With his brand new show with Jack, Ozzy Osbourne is in the headlines once again. The father and son have teamed up to give their own unique perspective on history. You wouldn’t think that this heavy metal rocker would be interested in what happened in the past, but he is showing another side of himself.

The reality show is called Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour and is basically something of a father-son bucket-list travel history show, as they called it. The two guys travel around to various locations learning about history together. Jack, who is a father-of-two, dished that the show had brought out some similarities that he has with his dad. Of course, there are many differences between them as well. The show can be seen on Sundays on the History Channel.
