WWE Rumors: The Wyatt Family Will Be Split Up During The WWE Draft

Last night, WWE revealed the official rules of the WWE Draft and a list of all “eligible” WWE superstars that will be available to be drafted on Tuesday night’s SmackDown. It’s already been rumored and discussed why there are some big names left off the WWE Draft list, but there are some interesting things to note from the list before the WWE Draft takes place.

For instance, The Lucha Dragons have been a tag team for a few years. However, WWE has officially listed Kalisto and Sin Cara as singles competitors on the WWE Draft list. Although it is possible both men could be drafted to the same brand, it is unlikely that will happen, and they wouldn’t be drafted together. It’s a safe bet to assume The Lucha Dragons are finished as a tag team.

If that is the case, there will be a lot of speculation going into the WWE Draft about The Wyatt Family. Luke Harper is currently off the WWE Draft list because of an injury, but Braun Strowman, Erick Rowan, and Bray Wyatt are all listed as singles stars on the list WWE.com has released. Unless some changes are made, the WWE Draft could possibly be the end of The Wyatt Family.

At WWE Battleground, The New Day faces The Wyatt Family in a non-title match. Their feud has been eerie because both stables have such different dynamics that watching them mix has been captivating. The speculation about the match over the past few weeks has been about the struggle within or the potential end of The New Day.

The WWE Universe has been so distracted by those rumors that the possibility of The Wyatt Family also being split apart by the WWE Draft didn’t cross the minds of many within the WWE Universe. Suddenly, it makes sense why WWE decided to book the match between the two stables at WWE Battleground to be non-title. Either one or both teams won’t last to the next night.

The WWE Universe will know going into WWE Battleground what impact the match will have on The New Day and The Wyatt Family, so it will become an important match to finish off a great stable run either way. No matter who wins the match on Sunday, if The Wyatt Family is being split up due to the WWE Draft, there are several questions about what comes next.

Bray Wyatt will thrive no matter which brand he is drafted. The mystic and aura of his character is something that hasn’t been seen in this generation of WWE superstars. His work on the microphone and in the ring will make him a force to be reckoned with even if he stands alone on Raw or SmackDown.

There have been rumors in the past of Luke Harper having a solo run once he returns from his injury later this year. If there is no stable for him to return to, Harper may have another mid-card singles run. After all, he is the most accomplished member of The Wyatt Family since he is the only one to win a WWE title. Harper could carve out a nice niche for himself.

The real concern will be for Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman after the WWE Draft if they are separated. While Bray Wyatt was on the shelf nursing an injury for almost two months, Rowan and Strowman could have developed into the tag team title scene, but they were kept off WWE television. Unfortunately, that doesn’t give WWE fans much to base them on without Bray Wyatt leading them.

If this is to be the last week of The Wyatt Family, it’s been a great stable that has been drastically undervalued by WWE. If the WWE Draft separates The Wyatts on Raw and SmackDown, it will be interesting to see how they develop in the new WWE.
