‘Shark Tank’ Chicago Casting Call On Monday, June 13: Download Application

Shark Tank has been known for featuring innovative products like Dudes Wipes and PMS Bites, as reported by the Inquisitr. Now, folks who are in Chicago — or willing to travel to the Chicago area — have a shot at getting their products or services shown on Shark Tank.

As reported by NBC Chicago, the ABC hit TV series Shark Tank has a casting call in Chicago set to begin Monday, June 13. The open casting call in Chicago will take place at Studio XFINITY, located at 901 West Weed St, Chicago, IL 60642. According to Google Maps, that is located near North Sheffield Avenue in Chicago, near the North Branch Chicago River and close Chicago haunts such as Goose Island and iO Chicago.

Chicagoans and others can visit the Shark Tank casting call page to learn about the Studio Xfinity Shark Tank Chicago casting call. That particular casting call guarantees that the first 500 people or groups to apply and attend the Chicago call will be seen.

As seen on the Shark Tank application page, those who visit the Chicago casting call need to have already filled out their application packet provided by the Shark Tank producers. The initial Shark Tank application packet asks the entrepreneur a variety of questions about their product or service. Besides the standard queries about name, address, and company information, the Shark Tank application asks the entrepreneur how much income the applicant is seeking, along with how much of their equity they are willing to give the sharks.

The Shark Tank initial application packet explains that several release forms must be completed by the Chicago participants, including the audition release, an intellectual property release, and a release for the submitted materials.

“Attend an Open Call where you will be given the opportunity to do a 1-minute pitch of your business/product/idea to a member of the Casting Team. Come prepared to wow and dazzle us! Only the first 500 applicants are guaranteed to be seen, so arrive early to secure your numbered wristband”

“To apply, you must have a completed Application Packet. Download the Application HERE and bring it with you to the Open Call. It is imperative that you complete your Application in advance, as it includes many detailed questions that may require advance preparation.”

“All Open Calls are open to the general public. You DO NOT have to purchase a credential to attend a Shark Tank Open Call. Please do NOT call the venue. Security may check your bag and you are responsible for your own parking.”

Don’t expect to see the Shark Tank stars at Chicago’s open casting call, nor at the private Chicago event on Tuesday at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. As reported the Chicago Tribune, only University of Chicago staff, students — current and former — and University of Chicago community partners will be allowed to attend the private event.

Famous sharks like Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, Barbara Corcoran, and Mark Cuban won’t attend the Shark Tank Chicago casting call nor private event. However, entrepreneurs who show up at Studio Xfinity in Chicago on Monday should expect to receive a wristband between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to let Shark Tank organizers know how to order the pitches of the Chicagoans.

The Shark Tank pitching in Chicago should begin by 10 a.m. and last until 6 p.m., making for a long day in Chicago for the Shark Tank casting staff. Those who show up in Chicago for the Shark Tank open casting call should be sure to bring their completed Shark Tank applications to the casting call.
