‘The Young And The Restless’ Star Jason Thompson Introduces Newborn Son, Adorable Photo Of Baby Bowie Melts Hearts
Soap fans have been waiting to hear some baby news from one of daytime drama’s favorite actors. That day has finally arrived as The Young and the Restless star Jason Thompson has just welcomed his first child into the world.
Coming from an adorable Instagram photo that the actor posted on Wednesday was the official announcement that he and his wife, Paloma, now have a beautiful son to love. The new baby is seen in the snapshot sleeping peacefully, all wrapped up tightly in a blanket. The newborn is completely beautiful with a head of dark hair, just like both of his parents.
Although not many details have been shared just yet, the new daddy did let everyone know that his name is Bowie. This is kind of an unusual name, so it will be interesting to find out how Jason and his wife came up with this cute name. He gave a sweet shout-out to the new mom as well.

Jason and Paloma have been married for a year now and they had announced the pregnancy in January. Jason Thompson does have a little experience with kids as he had played a TV dad on General Hospital for many years. He has continued on with that tradition on The Young and the Restless as his character also has kids.
In an interview back in March with Detail News, Jason Thompson dished on his role as a TV dad and his upcoming parenting role in real life.
“There’s so many things involved with acting with kids. As they say with kids and animals: there is the patience, there’s the anticipation of what might happen, what might not happen. I think that has a lot to do with parenting, too. I don’t know if there’s anything you can really learn until you get in there, and with acting with kids is similar to that. And I just hope to be anything I possibly can for this little one.”

Back in October, Thompson announced another huge change in his life. He told fans that he was stepping away from his role as Dr. Patrick Drake on ABC’s General Hospital. He had been in that role for 10 years and he admitted what a tough decision it was for him at that time. His heartfelt post included his gratefulness to the soap that made him a household name.
“General Hospital changed my life and I have you to thank for that. I am forever grateful for your love and support and for embracing me and this character all these years. I mean these words from the bottom of my heart: GH is family to me, and I will miss you all dearly.”
Jason is now over on The Young and the Restless playing the role of Billy Abbott, and he has been embraced over there in Genoa City quite nicely. Soap fans love this new side of him.

LoCicero has an infant as well, so she may be able to give her former co-star some helpful baby tips. Another GH actor, Maurice Benard, also gave the new dad his love and congrats to the former Dr. Drake.
