Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Divorce Looming? He Reunites With Marion Cotillard Amid Cheating Allegations

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly headed for a split after less than 2 years of marriage.

In recent months, Brad Pitt has been tied to other women including his Allied co-stars, Marion Cotillard and Lizzy Caplan, as divorce reports swirl, and over the weekend, the 52-year-old actor reunited with Cotillard to continue production on their World War II film.

“He’s renowned for his portrayal of military figures. But Brad Pitt proved he was adept at shadowy undercover roles too, as he threw himself into the filming of his new movie Allied in Las Palmas on Saturday,” the Daily Mail reported on May 21 along with several photos from filming. “The 52-year-old actor was joined by his co-star Marion Cotillard on set and the pair drew crowds of locals, on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, eager to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood stars.”

In the flick, Brad Pitt plays Max Vatan, a spy assassin, as his rumored mistress, Marion Cotillard, 40, has been cast as Marianne Beausejour, a French spy. Meanwhile, Caplan, 33, portrays the sister of Pitt’s character.

News of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s possible divorce first hit the web earlier this year around the time production on Allied began. At the time, a source told In Touch Weekly, via Hollywood Life, that Pitt had become fed up with Jolie’s jealousy and was ready to file documents to end his marriage.

“The resentment has been eating away at Angelina,” an insider told In Touch Weekly of Jolie’s feelings towards Pitt’s relationship with Cotillard. “She’s prone to think that since she was once Brad’s co-star and seduced him away from his wife, the same will happen to her.”

As Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie filmed Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004, when Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston, they fell in love and began a relationship. However, it wasn’t until March 2005 when Aniston filed for divorce. The relationship was highly controversial at the time, but that didn’t stop Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie from going public with their romance just one month after Aniston’s divorce filing.

“[Cotillard is] exactly the kind of sultry European actress that Angie has always wanted to be and she’s playing exactly the kind of role Angie’s always wanted to play,” the magazine’s source explained. “Adding to the jealousy is the fact that Marion has one thing Angelina hasn’t achieved in her acting career: Oscar for Best Actress.”

“He will be the one to file,” the source continued. “He’s fed up with her controlling ways, her obstinateness when it comes to listening to him about her health issues and how she needs to slow down and now her outright jealousy when it comes to other women.”

Around the same time, another source, via Hollywood Life, told In Touch Weekly that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had been “living separate lives” for over a year.

As for Pitt’s relationship with Cotillard, a source earlier this month claimed the actors had grown close to one another during filming. As Hollywood Life revealed, Jolie used to turn a blind eye to Pitt’s relationships with his female co-stars, but after Pitt allegedly became too emotionally connected to Cotillard, said the source, his marriage to Jolie was in jeopardy.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been married since August 2014 and share 6 children together, their adopted children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, and their biological kids, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.
