Chrissy Teigen On Whether She’ll Share Photos Of Her New Daughter On Social Media As She Grows Up

Chrissy Teigen, American model and wife of singer John Legend, is officially a mother. According to Billboard, Chrissy Teigen and her husband welcomed their first child together on April 14.

The first child of the couple is a lovely, healthy baby girl named Luna Simone Stephens. Teigen and Legend also recently posted the first public photo of their baby Luna on Teigen’s Instagram account on April 20, captioned “hi my lulu!”

Shortly after Teigen’s Instagram post, Legend followed up with a close-up shot of their cute baby on his Instagram account. The birth of a first baby is usually a joyous occasion for any parent, but especially for parents who have been struggling with fertility issues, as Chrissy Teigen famously has. The couple has been very open and honest with the fertility problems they had faced while trying to get pregnant for the past several years.

Chrissy Teigen spoke about her struggle with infertility.

“As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!”

While many people commended Chrissy Teigen and her husband for their honesty during their struggles with fertility, people were less impressed with Teigan’s decision to choose the sex of their baby through new in vitro fertilization technology.

According to Us Magazine, the birth of her child went well and Chrissy Teigan had no problems healing afterward.

Teigen jokingly told her followers that Legend was the one healing perfectly. She received a lot of good wishes on Twitter, and Chrissy Teigen made sure to thank her fans for the positivity, saying that she and Legend are excited for the next phase in their life. The mother also does not plan to hide her daughter from social media, as she has stated in interviews during her pregnancy.

Chrissy Teigen spoke on her approach to raising her child in a world full of social media.

“We’re not going to go out of our way to hide because obviously it’s such a big part of our lives to show everything: the inside of our homes, my parents living with us, our animals, everything. I’m not going to do sneaky back shots of her or anything. I’m not ready for people’s comments. That’s more of what it is… It’s not like I don’t want to show her or that I’m hiding.”

Apart from having two doting parents satisfying her every need, Chrissy Teigen’s baby will also have a childhood full of delicious food to look forward to, as her mother is a very skilled and enthusiastic chef. According to People, Chrissy Teigen has been obsessed with a cake recipe that she just found out recently.

She may not be too into making cakes or sweets, but one particular recipe for a carrot cake has caught her attention. But, it’s not just any carrot cake; rather, it’s a three-layer carrot cake that is described as being “crazy, sticky” and “moist” while also being full of flavor.

Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram to prove her point by posting a photo of the towering cake for her followers to see. The cake is a recipe from Southern Living, and it stands out from many others because of the addition of shredded carrots while the cake batter itself is bolstered with crushed pineapple and shredded coconut. Upon baking, every layer of the cake gets topped with a caramelized buttermilk glaze and frosted with cream cheese icing.
