Corey Simms Is Unhappy With Leah Messer In Deleted ‘Teen Mom 2’ Scene: ‘The Kids Are The Ones Getting Hurt’

What does Corey Simms really think of his ex-wife, Leah Messer? A deleted scene from Teen Mom 2 Season 7 appears to answer that very question.

According to a new report, Corey Simms was recently featured in a scene from the show in which he discusses his ongoing custody battle with Messer over their twin girls, 6-year-olds Ali and Aleeah. As the Hollywood Gossip revealed on May 2, he expressed his frustrations with Messer to a friend, claiming she’s only thinking of herself while trying to win back custody of their daughters.

“We go back to court in a couple of months for a reconsideration, which basically is just asking the judge to reconsider his judgement,” Corey Simms explained to his friend in the deleted scene.

During the early episodes of Teen Mom 2 Season 7, Corey Simms was seen receiving primary custody of the twins after a judge ruled in his favor. However, immediately after losing custody, Messer’s attorney filed for a reconsideration.

When Corey Simms’ friend asked if he thought primary custody would be returned to Messer, he admitted, “I don’t know, I mean it’s hard to tell because she is the mom.”

Throughout the airing of Teen Mom 2 Season 7, Messer has been under fire due to her questionable behavior on the show. In addition to struggling to complete simple parenting duties, including feeding her children before school and getting them there on time, she’s also been caught texting while driving with her kids on multiple occasions.

“It stresses me out that they approved the reconsideration because it’s another couple more months of worrying and stressing and all that. We should be able to just chill out and live life,” Corey Simms explained. “This whole reversal of custody should have been done years ago before the kids were aware of what’s going on. Now they have a lot more emotions and feelings and they can understand a lot more. We can’t keep doing this. If it gets reversed and I’ve tried everything I’ve done I just don’t know what else I can do.”

In the years since Corey Simms’ initial custody filing, both he and his wife, as well Messer’s second husband, Jeremy Calvert, have spoken of a potential drug problem, which Messer has denied. During an episode of Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda, confronted Messer about her alleged addiction, and during a second episode, Corey Simms spoke of the issue with Calvert.

While chatting with Calvert, Corey Simms admitted to being scared for his daughters’ safety, and Calvert appeared to be on the same page while labeling Messer’s addiction as a “prescription pill problem.”

“It’s a pretty serious thing,” Corey Simms continued to his friend. “Leah’s looking at it for herself. I mean it’s all about herself is all she cares about. But the kids are the ones getting hurt. It’s pretty messed up.”

Following months of drug rumors, Corey Simms’ ex-wife entered a rehab center in Arizona, but according to the reality star, she entered treatment to address struggles with depression and anxiety, not drugs. Then, after completing a 30-day program at the facility, she returned home to West Virginia.
