Kaley Cuoco Shows Off New Boyfriend, Equestrian Karl Cook

Kaley Cuoco has had a rough time when it comes to love lately, but it appears she may have a new boyfriend, equestrian Karl Cook.

Kaley and Karl were seen together back on March 12 watching a tennis match at the BNP Paribas Open. They smiled and flirted and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying each other’s company, creating first suspicions that Cuoco may have found herself a new boyfriend. Instagram photos have popped up on Kaley’s account pretty regularly since then, and they all but confirm the suspicions. It’s great news for the Big Bang Theory star who’s been unlucky in love for a while, and fans hope that she has indeed found a new boyfriend in Karl Cook.

Kaley Cuoco’s love for horses is well known, and we suspect it is that shared interest that brought this pair together. New boyfriend Karl is quite the equestrian. In fact, Entertainment Tonight reports that earlier this month he won first place in the $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix. Cuoco was awarded the Horsewoman of the Year prize by the Humane Society in November and has frequently shared her love for horses on Instagram.

Kaley confirmed in 2010 that she and Big Bang Theory co-star Johnny Galecki had dated for about two years, during a time that Galecki played her boyfriend on the show. In October of 2011, Cuoco became engaged to addiction specialist Josh Resnik, but only five months later the engagement was off. After only three months of dating, Kaley became engaged to boyfriend Ryan Sweeting in September 2013. They married December of the same year, but that relationship would come to a sad end as well, with Cuoco and Sweeting splitting in September of 2015. It was a split that Kaley has commented on as being a very difficult and life-changing experience. Entertainment Tonight quoted Cuoco, talking about the split and what her future may hold in regard to her single life and the possibility of finding love in a new boyfriend or another marriage. She said,

“[What happened] changes the way I look at marriage, and that makes me sad… It does not change the way that I look at love. I cannot wait to be in love again. I don’t feel like I am ready yet…which is so different for me. I dive into everything.”

Kaley appeared on The Ellen Show last month. She called 2015 “really bizarre.” She added,

“I already feel like 2016 is going to be a much better year than 2015… It’s been rough. But I’m much, much better now. I’m in a much better place than I was.”

A couple of weeks later she was showing off her new boyfriend, so it appears Cuoco was right about 2016 being better than 2015. We hope so. After so many ups and downs, Cuoco deserves to feel loved and be happy.

Judging by the frequent photos Kaley has posted in the last couple of weeks, she and boyfriend Karl Cook are quite happy. She took to Instagram in the photo below to brag about her guy after he won the SmartPak Grand Prix.

Kaley’s new boyfriend began riding horses at the age of 8 and developed a passion for it right away. He has competed in the Grand Prix since 2009 and won four Grand Prix events in 2014. Cuoco has been riding since the age of 15. She suffered an accident while riding in 2010 when her horse got spooked and threw her. Initially not hurt, as Kaley lay on the ground laughing, her horse tried to jump over her and landed on her leg. Cuoco was badly injured and doctors even considered amputation. Her leg eventually healed though, and Big Bang Theory writers placed her behind a bar as a bartender until Kaley was back to her old self.
