The stunning designer emerald ring originates in Colombia, which is the nation from which Torres hails. People relays the details about the gorgeous ring worn happily by Hilary.

“The ring is a natural Colombian emerald on a platinum art-deco inspired setting for a vintage feel, which is Hilary’s favorite, according to her rep. The piece was designed exclusively for Ruben and Hilary by Andrea Jaramillo from the Colombian-based jewelry brand Tres Almas. And she proudly wore her new bling in the stands at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells, California, on Sunday.”

The newly-engaged couple stepped out together on Saturday night when Swank had the opportunity to show off her gorgeous new bling. She looked gorgeous and paired the ring with a lovely navy ensemble.

Swank and Torres have been publicly dating since last year The award-winning actress has not been very quiet about her relationship since it began last summer. Swank has been open about their romance on social media and took to Instagram to announce their engagement happily. The photo of the two was captioned with a fitting description.

“Went on a hike and this happened! I am so happy to announce the engagement to my dear Ruben.”

The location for the big question was, as the National Post shares, was in Palm Springs for the BNP Paribas Tennis Open. The two spent a lovely vacay there and were “looking happy and inseparable” the entire time.

Torres, once a professional on the tennis court, now works as a tennis coach and financial/wealth manager for UBS Financial Services.

This marriage will mark the second for Hilary Swank who was married to Chad Lowe for 10 years. The couple broke up back in 2007 after Swank’s Oscar win for her role in the Clint Eastwood-directed film Million Dollar Baby. Swank’s curse has been broken in finding her new love, Torres. Lowe remarried in 2010 to Kim Painter.

It was clear that Swank was smitten with Torres as she entered Elton John’s annual AIDS Foundation Oscar bash last month. Love was in the air and the two looked as smitten as ever with one another while Hilary dazzled in a form-fitting sheer silver top and black pencil skirt. The Daily Mail reported on the adorable couple as the lavish night took place, noting Hilary’s affectionate social media posts about her man.

“All eyes were on the actress as she made her entrance into the restaurant with a smile on her face. Hilary and Ruben were first pictured together in July. Earlier this week the actress raved about her man on Instagram when he celebrated his birthday. “

The Instagram post about her beau indicates the deep affection Hilary feels for Ruben and was evidence enough that a proposal may be on the way.

“Happy Birthday to my soulful, insightful, funny, handsome inside and out man! I love you and am blessed to be celebrating alongside you the day you were born.”

Hilary’s life is certainly on the upswing. A fiance on her arm, an emerald ring on her finger, her previously ailing father now on the mend, and an intended return to her acting career in the cards are all reason to celebrate for this tremendous talent.
