Margot Robbie Struggles With The Whisper Challenge During Appearance With Jimmy Fallon

It was pretty clear from the offset that Margot Robbie was in for a good deal of embarrassment during her appearance with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. However, nobody quite expected the amount of embarrassment she received when Jimmy Fallon unleashed his version of the Whisper Challenge on her.

Jimmy Fallon is well known for regularly thrashing guests when it comes to the whisper challenge, and Margot Robbie was no exception to that trend. In fact, she appeared to struggle with the chat show host’s game more than other guests.

The aforementioned whisper challenge sees one person put on a pair of headphones with loud music playing and attempt to guess what the other person is saying. The game is essentially a glorified version of lip reading, something that Margot Robbie clearly hasn’t had a lot of practice with, if her appearance on the show is anything to go by. Jimmy Fallon, on the other hand, has clearly had an awful lot of practice.

Margot Robbie really did struggle with the game, as Jimmy Fallon threw a couple of what should be familiar terms her way, including “Bondi Beach” and “labradoodle.” What’s more, Jimmy Fallon’s level of skill when it comes to the whisper challenge soon became apparent when he managed to guess “Reese Witherspoon” on the first try. In all the time he’s hosted The Tonight Show and played this particular game, he’s clearly developed an adept skill.

Margot Robbie was so very bad that Jimmy Fallon at one point made a number of blatant attempts to have the star say “labradoodle.” Either way, clearly the best part of the particular segment was Fallon’s victory dance following a pretty clear win for the host and regular player of the game.

Embarrassing hilarity over, and Margot Robbie was eventually able to move Jimmy Fallon away from the whisper challenge and on to promoting her new film, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. The film sees Margot Robbie star alongside lead actress Tina Fey, along with British actor Martin Freeman. The plot of the film is centred around Fey’s character’s time as a war correspondent working in Afghanistan and Pakistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Starring Margot Robbie alongside big names including Tina Fey and Martin Freeman, the war comedy is set to be one with a pretty star-studded cast, that’s for sure.

Margot Robbie is undeniably one busy actress right now, recently appearing in a number of big releases, including Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, amongst the likes of The Big Short, Focus, and The Wolf of Wall Street. On top of that, the Australian-born star is currently working on the pre-production of a series of films, including Terminal, The Legend of Tarzan and of course the upcoming blockbuster, Suicide Squad.

With that in mind and the release of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot only a couple of days ago, it comes as no surprise to see the star doing the rounds on talk shows. As any actor or actress will know, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is undeniably a show you’ve got to appear on if you wish any chance of your film being a box office success.

As aforementioned, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is set to release in cinemas across the country on March 4, 2016, which is considerably better timing than Tina Fey’s last release, Sisters, starring herself and Amy Poehler late last year, which of course collided with the mammoth release that was Star Wars. All eyes will now focused on how this particular film performs when it hits the box office.
