Caila Quinn’s Awkward Overnight Date With ‘Bachelor’ Ben Higgins Ends ‘Unexpectedly’ [Spoilers]

Caila Quinn travels to Jamaica for her overnight date with Bachelor Ben Higgins on Monday night, and it will be her final chance to tell Ben she’s falling in love with him before he decides which two girls will head to the final rose ceremony. [Spoilers ahead]

Many fans were surprised when Ben decided to send Amanda Stanton home after hometown dates last week instead of Caila — the 24-year-old software sales rep has been struggling to share her true feelings with Ben, or at least that’s what viewers are seeing.

Is Caila really that guarded when it comes to finding love or was she just faking an interest in Ben so she can increase her chances to become the next Bachelorette? Whatever her intentions were, read on to find out about her very emotional departure from the show.

ABC’s sneak peek video of her overnight date with Ben is awkward to watch, but nothing will be more awkward than the way her relationship with Ben ends.

In the preview below, Ben attempts to get Caila to relax and enjoy their one-on-one date. Her reaction seems a bit stand-offish for someone who claims to be in love with Ben and she is more concerned with how he feels about Lauren and JoJo than making the most of their time together.

“This should be the perfect day, but for some reason all that’s on my mind is that there are two other women here and that they’re possibly falling in love with him like I am. And that hurts.”

Despite her unwillingness to open up to Ben, Reality Steve states that Caila accepts the key to the Fantasy Suite and spends the night with him — and she’s not the only one.

Steve is certain that all three girls take him up on his offer to have some off-camera time during the overnight dates episode, but Caila makes the worst use of her time. She continues to focus on the other two girls — or at least that’s what viewers will before the Fantasy Suite door closes and the cameras are turned off for a few hours.

Spoilers indicate that whatever happens during Caila’s overnight date with Ben did not help advance their relationship. Spoilers indicate that Ben sends Caila home after the overnight dates, something that was confirmed when she was spotted with some of her co-stars after filming the Men Tell All on Saturday night.

However, Ben’s most recent blog in People magazine hints that her departure happens immediately after their overnight date and it didn’t end well.

“I had to say a goodbye in a way I never thought I would, to a girl I wasn’t sure I ever would say goodbye to, and she did not take it very well at all,” Ben wrote in his weekly blog. “I don’t think neither she nor I anticipated that kind of emotion overflowing when goodbye happened so unexpectedly.”

Ben goes on to say that although “what happens in the Fantasy Suites” is supposed to stay a secret, but Monday night’s episode “definitely puts that to the test.”

It certainly sounds like things didn’t go as planned for both Ben, but his connection with Caila never seemed as strong as his relationships with his final two girls — JoJo and Lauren.

Although Caila remained one of the top contenders throughout the season, there is speculation that she had her sights set on becoming the Bachelorette and not Mrs. Higgins. If the show’s creator, Mike Fleiss follows through on his promise and picks a “non-white” Bachelorette for the upcoming season, Caila — who is half Filipino — may end up landing the gig.

Fans will find out soon if she will be handing out roses in a few months. Host Chris Harrison will introduce the next Bachelorette on the live After the Final Rose special on March 14.
