OK Magazine puts Michael Jackson’s dead body on the cover

ok-magazine-michael-jackson-cover

OK Magazine is in some well deserved strife for putting Michael Jackson’s dead body (death photo) on the cover.

The “last photo of Michael Jackson” exclusive is said to have cost the magazine a cool $500,000.

Jackson’s family and friends are said to be outraged by the cover, and there’s an unconfirmed report that one of Jackson’s relatives has lodged a petition in court to have the sale of the magazine stopped.

Personally I’m just stunned they paid $500,000 for a blurry picture :-)

    These people are crazy!!!!!

  2. Why is everyone freaking out about OK! Magazine putting a picture on their cover that was shown on Entertainment Tonight within 24 hours of Jackson's death. It seems like ET got a by while OK! is being criticized for using the same photo.

  4. Thank God Michael looks peaceful.
No, they should not run this picture. I will never buy OK Mag ever.

I will miss MJ so much. He was amazing and I feel like
I have lost a part of my family.
May he rest in peace and God Bless his children.

What I want to know is, who took the picture? From what I saw of the ambulance scenes last week, they had Jackson shrouded coming out of that ambulance. They had every possible line of sight shielded from photographers. Who was allowed through, and earned the 500k??

How did the media get a picture such as this? Would they stoop so low as to photograph another human being at such a time as this? What for? Is the prospect of money so motivating that they would invade the sacredness of death? Isn't it enough that they goaded Michael into addiction which caused his death? I wonder how they can sit and eat with their family knowing that the money that provided the food was at the expense so someone's life. Woe be onto them!!! We are all accountable to someone for this.

First of all I think it was absolutely wrong to do it, but Ok magazine is getting exactly what it wants – publicity.

I dont think it is ok to put anyones last moments on a cover of a magazine or on tv no matter how famous they are. People are just to god damn greedy these days. doesnt anyone have respect anymore. sure doesnt seem like it. What has this world come too

  13. This is sickening and putrid. If you have once ounce of compassion, dignity, and/or respect for another human being, you will boycott this pathetic magazine and never so much read another copy (or this copy for that matter) again. If I am able to I will turn these magazines around in the stores because NO ONE deserves to have this sort of picture made public! His poor family, this is just not right in any sort of sorts…

hink that not only have people become so greedy for money that they will do anything it takes to get people to buy thier magazine. The people who would buy this magazine are those who are extremely morbid but this type of thing draws people to be curious to see it.They have proved that poor Michael Jackson was INNOCENT of all the things that those “SCAM” artisit of a family of the sick child with cancer said him to have done sexually to thier son. These people know in thier heart they not only tormented Michael publically but i feel helped to ruin his life to where he was ashamed to show his face and didnt even wanrt to be part of America anymore and moved overseas. Though such a tortured soul and being hooked on drugs this may have been his way of seperating himself from reality and put himself into that dreamworld he loved so much for at least there he was able to get the approval and love from that “NEVERLAND” world.

I also believe that those doctors who it seems a bit before he went into cardiac arrest shot him up with a very very harsh and strong painkiller like Demerol or Morphine didnt know what exactly to do when he stopped breathing. They may have gone into such shock that the time it took them to realize what was happening to Michael they may have been able to save him. I get the feeling they were very scared then at what they had done meaning the shot he was given may have been what initially killed him mixed with all the other things he was taking. I myself was a drug addict for many years and am now clean for a year. But i had found out about all the painkillers there are and what they do to a person just so i would never overdose myself. I do know that a large dose of Demerol possibly mixed with a sedative or anti-depression meds can and will absolutely stop you from breathing and make your heart go into a shock causing “INSTANT” cardiac arrest..though if he would have had someone who knew what they were doing within the first 20-25 minutes of him not breathing, they could have injected him PROPERLY with that shot of adreneline to his heart and may have saved him..he may have gone into a coma but he could have possibly been saved. So i think those doctors that were with him are very to blame for what they DID and DIDNT do correctly!!

THATS JUST NOT RIGHT. HIS KIDS SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO CRUEL AND DISREPECTFUL. YOU GUYS ARE SICK. I WON'T BE BUYING THIS MAGAZINE EVER AGAIN. I LOVED MICHAEL, AND I'M TAKING HIS DEATH VERY HARD. THIS JUST MAKES IT WORSE.

Since Michael was mostly plastic from the neck up with all of his surgeries, I think they should melt his head down, make legos out of him, and let little kids play with him the rest of their lives!

    Jul 2, 2009

But you looked didn't you? And millions of others will buy the magazine in the hopes that there are more pics inside and OK will make a fortune. We are the voyeurs who yell foul but look at the grisly mess in morbid curiosity

  23. noeth6790
    Jul 2, 2009

Wow, that will make them think twice, what a joke, they will sell millions of magazines as the morbid voyuers look for more pics inside

You aparently watch too much ER or House, besides there was one doctor with him not plural doctors…the toxicology results will show he had too many drugs in him and some enabler(s) will get a slap on the hand

You think they were scam artists, I say you don't pay $20 million to the “alledged victim” if you are innocent, you pay $30 million to lawyers to prove your innocence! Where there is smoke there is fire

  26. noeth6790
    Jul 2, 2009

The world is full of voyeurs who will look at anything out of morbid couriosity and pay to read rag sheets that tear apart peoples lives…….so it will go on as it always has.

You clearly haven't been watching the leaches climb all over themselves to take picturs of peoples privates, vomit, etc. They are always hanging around and snapping away, but we all look in morbid facination and OK will make a fortune

24/7 news has made it sickening, no matter what happens that beat it into the ground for weeks on end until you are so sick of hearing it you would watch reruns of the Beverly Hillbillies on cable rather than turn on a news station. What they call “Breakikng News” is a joke. They spend days not telling you one thing new, and reversing several of the things they have been telling you for days.

  30. noeth6790
    Jul 2, 2009

Stupid? I don't think so, they will make millions because all of the morbid voyeurs, and you look too didn't you, will buy millions of copies hoping there are better pictures inside (and there won't be) so they will continue to prosper, even with your alledged loss of readership

As a parent I say that there is no amount of money in the world that you could pay me to make molesting my child “ok”. Jail is not even good enough to make up for that deed. So instead of condenming a dead mn, people should be upset with the parents of the alleged victims.

Why did you buy it-it was on the cover-it was obvious what it was?
I don't think it was in good taste, but people do have a gory interest in death, so why do people who buy this trashy magazine pretend to be shocked and horrified by the cover picture?!!

  35. you are a loser!!!! you never even knew him! get over it!

You cant exactly miss it when its all over the shops. I didnt go out of my way to look for it as im sure many others wouldnt have. Regardless of whether it was on TV it should not have been published on the front cover of a magazine just out of pure human decency. I would like to see how many people would say they wouldnt have a problem with a loved ones last moments on this earth being published all over the front cover of a well known magazine. I think ok has lost a lot of respect from its readers. Its sad that Michael suffered so much from the media while he was on this earth and is still suffering even after his death. I hope now that they will leave you in peace and you can finally be remembered for the truely remarkable person you were who gave so much to this world.

I didn't by the magazine but every shop you go into it is staring you in the face. It is very disrespectful. The poor man deserved to die in peace. No one wants to remember him that way. I wouldn't want to remember anyone in that way

My comment was directed at someone who bought the magazine and then complained about the content-which were obvious from the cover. As I said, I agree it was in bad taste-but lots of people would have bought it just for that pic-sick, but true.

Fair enough. I agree it was in bad taste and I agree that there are people who would have bought it for the sick pic. If thats the case it didn't have to be on the front cover. They could have put it inside and that way people would have had a choice if they wanted to see it or not x
