Jenelle Evans Shocks By Popping Diet Pills For Weight Loss Amid ‘Teen Mom 2’ Custody & Health Drama
Jenelle Evans, one of the stars of Teen Mom 2, is attracting concern over her health. With a variety of symptoms, Jenelle has been hospitalized repeatedly recently and undergone tests to try to find the cause. Amid all that worry, however, Evans has revealed a photo of herself taking a pill on social media that’s causing a backlash, reported Radar Online.
Known as a recovering heroin addict with a history of arrests for charges related to drugs, the 24-year-old Teen Mom star shocked fans and followers with that picture. However, Jenelle revealed that she is taking diet pills, not illegal drugs.

As for what the “travels” that Jenelle mentioned involve, Evans had gone to New York City to undergo an MRI of her brain and spine. The decision to pursue a different diagnosis follows a visit to North Carolina physicians. Although her local doctors diagnosed anxiety as the cause of symptoms that included coordination loss, breathing problems, trouble walking, and restless leg syndrome, Jenelle believed that something else was causing her health problems.
“They are testing everything now,” a source told Radar.
Regarding the concern about drugs when it comes to Evans, the Teen Mom star has been candid about substance abuse. At one point, revealed Jenelle, she shelled out $400 daily for heroin.
As for the diet pills, Evans has been proud of her weight loss. Jenelle even flaunted her slimmer figure in a bikini, reported In Touch.
While Evan’s newest mention of a diet product was about carb blocker pills, Jenelle previously credited flat tummy tea as part of the reason for her weight loss success.
In addition, Evans wrote what sounded like a promo for the detox tea.
“My health has always been important to me and I’ve always had my go-to products to keep in shape. One of the most important ones that I’ve used in the past and am on again is the @flattummytea detox,” Jenelle hyped.
While her weight loss seems to be part of her focus right now in addition to her health problems, Evans also is struggling over the custody of her son, reported Radar Online.
Jenelle and her mother, Barbara, have been battling for awhile, However, now Evans is determined to obtain custody of Jace, who is her 6-year-old son. And to do so involves a return to her home base.
“Moving back to North Carolina was also such a big deal to me because, of course, as everyone knows, I do not have custody of my first son, Jace,” admitted Jenelle in a blog. “I was going to wait for it and see how my mom felt about me moving back, hoping and praying I can have my son as well. It seems like things aren’t changing as of now.”
The issue that the Teen Mom star faces is how to persuade her mother. Understanding that it will be a challenge is the first step, but then figuring out how to overcome that challenge looms as an even bigger problem, confessed the 24-year-old.
“I realized I’m going to fight a tough battle between my own mother and me because she will not let me have my son back. I think maybe she’s too attached to him, or maybe she doesn’t want to be alone,” mused Evans. “I never thought my mother would still put up such a battle with me,knowing I’m sober, knowing my dating life is perfect, and everything has been smooth sailing since I’ve moved back.”
