Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ And ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ With Hulk Arc To ‘Feel Like A Solo Movie,’ Says Mark Ruffalo

In an interview with Mark Ruffalo, some bits about the Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War Marvel movies has been teased. The Hulk character is what he was referring to, and Ruffalo started to talk about the gamma radiation-muscled superhero in regards to Infinity War.

He again made it clear there will be no solo Hulk movie, according to Comic Book Movie, but would love to do one. Basically it’s a character that is under the control of Universal Studios that dates back to the Ang Lee days, and that Marvel Studios has no rights to. But in the end, Mark Ruffalo did mention with the combined Planet Hulk-like story arc, Thor: Ragnarok and the two Avengers: Infinity War movies, and said it would “feel like a Hulk movie, a stand alone movie.”

So the Marvel movies, according to Mark Ruffalo (although unlisted on IMDb), appears that the Hulk will be sauntering forward with the Marvel Avengers crew of characters to fight the Mad Titan, Thanos. Considering that Ruffalo had already found the third Thor movie to comparable to the 1980s Midnight Run now-classic road movie, according to Inquisitr, it appears that the story arc of the Planet Hulk/World War Hulk would come into play.

Sometimes it’s fun for Ruffalo to talk about a nerd-based hypothetical situation, and it was humorous to hear an instance that during the Planet Hulk arc where, in the comic series, he was launched into space, Ruffalo discusses whether he could breathe or pass out when exposed to a vacuum, according to Collider.

Thor: Ragnarok is to start filming this summer in Australia, and Mark Ruffalo mentioned that he’s not getting into the kind of shape his co-star Chris Hemsworth is. He also expressed enthusiasm for working with Taika Waititi on the Thor Marvel movie sequel, who, according to Bleeding Cool, plans on “infusing the film with marvel-style wackiness.”

“They’re wacky. They’re crazy. I think that’s exactly what they need, to keep changing it up. They’ve got their dark films, some are more serious, and I think it’s great that they’re mixing it up. I really want to inject my style of humor into this.”

Buffalo mentioned that Thor: Ragnarok’s movie script is currently being written and spoke of the prep work with a lot of “unexpected” things going on as was continued in Comic Book Movie.

“That’s a surprise and it fits part of this Marvel doing the unexpected, casting the unexpected, and now bringing in the unexpected for writer and director.”

The Avengers: Infinity War movies, which are to be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, was mentioned by Ruffalo, and he has confidence in the directing duo. He cited Joss Whedon having difficulty making the two Avengers movies.

“He had a hard time making the first one and he had a hard time making this one. I think it’s partially the nature of that beast.”

Last year, on Screen Rant’s YouTube channel, Whedon talked about life after Marvel and Avengers: Age of Ultron, and as of then, he said he had nothing planned. He claimed to “haven’t had a blank slate in 25 years.”

Thor: Ragnarok Marvel is to be released in theaters on Nov. 3, 2017, and Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2 is slated for May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019, respectively. Director Waititi is said to have his own style of humor. What do you think the outcome will be with Thanos as the Avengers give it their all?
