Amy Schumer’s New Boyfriend Tells Her He Loves Her In The Cutest Way

Amy Schumer looked fine when she attended the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday night. She walked in on her own, but once inside, she was joined by her new boyfriend, Ben Hanisch.

Hanisch also attended the Golden Globe Awards with Amy Schumer, and apparently his feelings have really grown for Schumer since they revealed they are dating earlier this month. She Knows reports that after the Golden Globes, Hanisch posted a photo on Instagram in which he used the L-word. It certainly didn’t slip by his followers.

“One more from last night because this girl looked insanely gorgeous and I’m in love with her.”

When it comes to the Critics’ Choice Awards, Amy Schumer did not walk away empty-handed. Just Jared reports that Schumer won the MVP Award. President of BFCA/BTJA, Joey Berlin said they were thrilled to be presenting the award to Amy Schumer.

“The BFCA and BTJA are thrilled to be honoring someone as wildly talented and multifaceted as Amy Schumer with our second MVP Award. With her work in both film and television Amy proves that she can make us laugh until it hurts whatever the platform.”

Amy Schumer also won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in Trainwreck. Daily Mail reports that Schumer shared a wonderful kiss with her beau before heading up to the stage. Her left shoe broke on the way up, as well, but Amy Schumer knows it’s on with the show.

She thanked many people in her MVP acceptance speech.

“I’m allowed to be indulgent, I’m never going to get an award again.”

Amy Schumer also joked about the now famous nude photo that has circulated from the photoshoot she did with Annie Leibovitz. Many fans called Schumer brave for posing nude.

“That’s what you want people to say when a naked photo goes viral. ‘What a brave photo.’ You’re like ‘thanks…'”

She also joked about the people she was thanking, which everyone appreciated and loved.

“I want to thank Guy Oseary and then the other managers that I’ve fired, Jimmy Miller, Itay Reiss, Derek Van Pelt. Thank you, but I thought I could make slightly more money with someone else and so I went to them. And Guy Oseary, I will also do that to you.”

In fine style, Amy Schumer ended her speech with a tribute to the victims of the 2015 Lafayette shooting.

“[They] died… because a mentally ill person got their hands on a gun. We can end gun violence together.”

Prior to going up to accept her MVP Award, Amy Schumer was introduced by her Trainwreck director Judd Apatow, who was able to add his own humor to the moment.

“They made up an award to get her here. Who’s had a bigger year than Amy Schumer… ever? Has it ever happened?… She had an HBO special, an arena tour, she hosted Saturday Night Live, she hosted the MTV Movie Awards, she opened for Madonna, she fell on the carpet in front of Kimye…”

Even though Amy Schumer has found love and won fabulous awards, she is also dealing with sexist comments from a teen. Movie Pilot reports that 17-year-old movie critic Jackson Murphy, known as Lights Camera Jackson, posted a photo of him posing with Schumer and the caption was quite insulting.

“Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that.”

Amy certainly responded with her own brand of sarcasm.

Jackson later apologized (twice) for his tweet, saying he wasn’t a comedian and Amy Schumer graciously accepted that apology.

Clearly Jackson will think before he makes another joke and Amy Schumer will go on to do even greater things than she already has – and win more awards.
