Coachella 2016 Line-Up: Calvin Harris, Guns N’ Roses, LCD Soundsystem, And More!

It may be snowing outside in some parts of the country, but the Coachella Music & Arts Festival is a sure sign that the warmer weather is coming. It’s also the official kickoff to music festival season.

The full Coachella 2016 lineup was announced on Monday, January 4. The three-day, two-weekend music festival will take place on April 15-17 and 22-24. Headliners include Calvin Harris, Guns N’ Roses, and LCD Soundsystem.

Yes, that’s right. The legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses are reuniting for the music festival, according to Billboard via multiple sources. This will be the first show for Axl Rose and Slash since 1993. The band will perform on Saturday night.

LCD Soundsystem is also reuniting for the event. The last time this band reunited was this past Christmas when they released their first new song in five years, “Christmas Will Break Your Heart.” Other sources have told Billboard that the band has plans to get back together.

Other performers at this year’s Coachella include A$AP Rocky, CHVRCHES, Courtney Barnett, Ellie Goulding, Ice Cube, Flume, Jack Ü, Lord Huron, Major Lazer, Sia, and Sufjan Stevens. This year’s lineup looks pretty solid.

Even the editors at The Los Angeles Times are pretty excited about the lineup at this year’s Coachella festival. That’s because it’s mostly packed with female artists even though men are headlining the event. There’s no denying that women dominate the pop charts. For every Nick Jonas or Justin Bieber, you have Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Adele, Beyonce, and many others. The only place where female artists have been underused and underrepresented is Coachella.

Both breakout singer Halsey and French Cuban sisters Ibeyi will make their Coachella debut. One of the few successful female producers in EDM, Nicole Moudaber, will take over the dance tests on Friday. Fans will also listen to the captivating beats of Grimes, pop hits from Ellie Goulding, and check out a brilliant performance from Sia.

There’s no doubt that Coachella 2016 tickets and festival passes will sell out quickly. Festival passes will go on sale Wednesday, January 6 at 11 a.m. PST while Coachella 2016 tickets will go on sale at 2 p.m. EST and 1 p.m. CST.

Since Coachella 2016 pre-sale tickets sold out in less than three hours after being released back in June, and Coachella 2015 festival passes sold out in less than 40 minutes, you may want to get up earlier on Wednesday so that you’re one of the few lucky fans who get to go to the annual festival. Once tickets and festival passes are available on Wednesday morning, add it to your checkout cart.

You will then have 10 minutes to complete the transaction before your ticket or pass goes into someone else’s hands. The site will expect more traffic than usual, so make sure that you have your credit card information available. You will need your first and last name, credit card number, CVC/CCC, expiration month and year, contact phone number, country, billing address, city and state, and zip/postal code. Here’s more information about ordering festival passes here.
