Hold Your Breath For The Upcoming ‘Fallout 4’ DLC’s Early 2016

Fallout 4 players, hold your breath, quite literally, for Bethesda’s upcoming DLCs for Fallout 4.

We’re just months into the release of Fallout 4, and it’s still one of the hottest and most talked talked about titles in the industry today. When Bethesda announced Fallout 4 this year and came out with the game just a few months after the announcement, the whole gaming community went into an unbelievable craze and lost their heads. Now that Fallout 4 is out and it just so happened it’s the only game that officially gave the Go signal to mods (Rockstar, you’ve been one upped!), everyone is crazy about it and are dying to get their hands on the newest material that Fallout 4 can offer.

This brings us to the topic of Fallout 4 DLCs: when, how, and what. When exactly are we looking at a Fallout 4 DLC? With so many hours already logged into Fallout 4 by the average gamer, there’s got to be the question hanging in the air already of “what’s next?” It’s the Skyrim dilemma all over again, where players have yet to really finish the entire game and exhaust its every crevice, and yet they’re already clamoring for something new!

Good news, Bethesda has you covered. With a great lineup of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls behind them, they’ve got to know what would please their loyal fan base. The Inquisitrpreviously reported that Bethesda has already announced the following last year.

“And remember: Bethesda Game Studios is just getting started. Stay tuned in 2016 for the release of the all-new Creation Kit and Fallout 4 DLC content.”

And Fallout 4 game director Todd Howard has also confirmed that Fallout 4 DLCs will be spread throughout 2016 to keep fans at the edge of their seats, as early as the red carpet event of Fallout 4,Gamezone reports.

“We’re doing it. We have a bunch coming next year. This game is huge, but it’s not just this launch. It’s going to be well deep into next year. It’s like the game is done, but it’s not done because until everybody plays it, it’s not really done.”

With that bit settled, we go to several reports pointing at the possible content of the DLC that will be made to Fallout 4 players on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Several reports are already speculating that one of the upcoming DLCs will be exploring the underwater world of the Fallout wasteland. This topic was brought up before last year ended when Reddit user Lavonicus was able to uncover the underwater world sleeping soundly below the wasteland.

Lavonicus writes the following on his Reddit post.

“P.S. To Bethesda: You do not fool me. In the past for Fallout 4 you have shown concept art of underwater content and through mods we have found out there is a Harpoon gun that was suppose to be in the game. It may not be in the game currently, but I know we’ll have underwater content eventually in DLC. When that time comes, I’ll spend my time combing through the water content of the DLC until I find it. Just you wait!!”

In addition to this underwater world, there is a previously unearthed Harpoon Gun by modder xxdeathknight72xx, which is discovered to produce bubble animations during firing. This only means one thing: it’s a Fallout gun that’s supposed to work underwater. That, or the bubbles are some childish joke Bethesda is playing. With these two solid evidences, a lot of people are believing that the underwater Fallout 4 DLC is quite underway.

And if you’re think we’re too ahead of ourselves, know that Bethesda is full ears for its fans, with Fallout 4’s Todd Howard himself saying that they will continue to monitor player feedback and create future DLCs for Fallout 4 based on the demands of the fan base.

“What they bring to it is important, and then we’re going to see what people like, what they want more of, what they want different, and then we’re going to do that.”

Fallout 4 is expected to release over $40 worth of DLC in the coming months, since it offered a $30 Season Pass during the Fallout 4 pre-order timeline. Stay tuned for more information about Fallout 4’s upcoming DLCs.
