Skylar Astin Proposes To Girlfriend Anna Camp Ahead Of ‘Pitch Perfect 3’
Anna Camp is engaged! Actor Skylar Astin got down on one knee over the new year and proposed to his longtime girlfriend and Pitch Perfect co-star — and she said yes! Skylar took to Instagram Saturday afternoon to reveal the news, with Anna beside him flashing her new engagement ring.
Though Astin remained coy as to how exactly he proposed to Camp, social media photos suggest the two were vacationing in Hawaii.
In the summer of 2015, just before the release of Pitch Perfect 2, Anna Camp gushed about her sweet boyfriend to E! News and mentioned how happy she was.
“The funny thing is, is that we never ever have any scenes together,” she explained. “So, yeah, it was great. We had a great time when we saw each other on set. It was awesome. He’s definitely sweet like his character is,” she added.

“We were friends first and just hit it off. He’s just so great, and he’s a Libra too,” Camp told Glamour magazine. “He was dating somebody, and I had been through a divorce and he was like, ‘Do you want to go on a date?’ I remember thinking, Well, he’s younger than me. He’s five years younger. He’s 26, and I’m 31. But I was like, ‘You know what? OK! Let’s do it, let’s see.’ ”
“I sing. My first job was a musical so I’ve been singing off and on for a while. More in the shower than not,” Camp said. “So I was happy to get cast in a musical role which is really, really fun. And he’s a fantastic singer and was a singer on Broadway.”
Anna Camp and Skylar Astin came out as a couple in the summer of 2013, one year after the a cappella comedy Pitch Perfect was released. A source close to the couple revealed that “they have amazing chemistry.” They publicly debuted their relationship at the 3rd Annual 24 Hour Plays presented by Montblanc in Santa Monica, California, in June of 2013.
“Nothing romantic happened until after she separated from her husband,” the source claims.
Skylar and Anna had an adorable on-camera chat with PopSugar in 2014 at Comic-Con, and Camp called her boyfriend “the master of all boyfriends.” They were also briefly quizzed on their characters in Pitch Perfect, Anna revealed what type of drink her character on True Blood would prefer, and the couple revealed they are very big fans of the HBO series The Leftovers.
Anna Camp also revealed that a family with Skylar Astin could be very possible sometime in the future.
“Yes! I want kids. I want to be a mom. The amount of love that my dog gets every day, I can’t walk by him without kissing him and telling him that I love him. I can’t imagine what that would be like to have someone that is half of me in a room. [Laughs] I would never want to be separate from them!”
