Yolanda Foster Divorce — David Foster Believes Her Lyme Disease Was Cured Months Ago? Wants A Refund For Treatments?

In a surprising turn of events, David Foster has apparently sided with those who believe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster is faking Lyme disease. An inside source recently told Radar Online that David thinks Yolanda has been living without the dreaded disease for quite some time now.

“David is telling friends he believes she was cured of it long ago, but she’s been playing up ongoing symptoms because she enjoys the attention,” the source revealed.

Yolanda is believed to have been diagnosed by her doctors back in 2012, only a year following her wedding with David. At the start of her illness, there is little doubt that the reality star had the disease and was getting treatment. In fact, the insider went on to state that David supported her through the early years of the disease.

“There was no doubt Yolanda was struggling and David was there to support her,” the insider stated. “In the beginning, David went with her to all of her doctor’s appointments, including the overseas trips for other treatment.”

However, the source added that all of the attention Yolanda received was something that she enjoyed very much. Things changed when her success on the reality series helped other family members excel in their own careers, which included her daughter’s modeling ventures.

Apparently, the lack of attention has motivated Yolanda to extend her bout with Lyme disease in the hope that all of the attention will return to her.

“Getting older seems to have been very hard for Yolanda,” the insider explained. “Now, it looks like she isn’t ready to give up the role of sick patient. In fact, Yolanda’s doctors in L.A. recently insisted she cut back on the trips abroad for medical care, believing it was making her symptoms worse, but she refused.”

Meanwhile, Yolanda Foster’s battle with Lyme disease appears to be one reason for her divorce from David. According to the Hollywood Gossip, David was tired of paying for Yolanda’s medical bills and prescriptions, especially considering the harm he believed they were having on her body.

“[David] spent a fortune on medical treatments for Yolanda’s Lyme disease that weren’t covered by medical insurance,” an insider told the outlet. “As the expensive alternative medical treatments progressed and David wasn’t seeing her get any better, he urged Yolanda to stop going overseas. She absolutely refused, and David was stuck paying the bills. Now with David’s record label shutting down, he needs that money.”

For her part, Yolanda is equally as frustrated as David. In fact, Radar Online is reporting that Yolanda is appalled at the idea that David is requesting for her money and has told her lawyer not to agree to any sort of monetary payment as part of the divorce settlement.

Luckily for Yolanda, she has been able to pay for her medical expenses through the support of her ex-husband, Mohamed Hadid. In fact, if Hadid had not been there for Yolanda, then the reality star would certainly be hurting in the financial department.

While fans continue to watch the drama unfold in the current season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda recently opened up about her divorce in an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

“Well, chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging,” she shared. “Not only for the person [who is] sick but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of the relationship.”
