Jim Carrey Lists Malibu Beach House At $13.95 Million

Jim Carrey Sells Malibu Colony Beach Home

Actor and comedian Jim Carrey has recently listed his Malibu Colony beach home at a whopping $13.95 million with hopes that buyers will flock to this gated California community to buy the famous home.

The actor that recently disappointed fans all over the world by suddenly dropping out of the sequel to everyone’s favorite mid 90′s comedy this past week has also decided to get rid of a little more clutter in his life with the listing of this high-priced home.

The home comes in at 2,866 square feet according to Trulia.com, and features 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms with an additional bed and bath suite that features full amenities for staff should they need to cater to the homeowner.

As reported by E! Online:

The contemporary home features an open living room leading out to a terrace with adjustable privacy walls, a dining room with built-in buffet, a top-of-the-line kitchen, a family room with a built-in flat screen and a rooftop deck with a spa. An outdoor entertaining area boasts a barbecue, surfboard racks and plenty of lounging space.

The home also contains fireplaces in all five bedrooms to make sure that no one feels left out when staying in the 2 story beach house.

Jim Carrey purchased the luxury home in 2002 for $9.75 million according to the LA Times, and even listed the house for sale in the latter half of last year with the asking price coming in at $14.995 million.

It will be interesting to see whether or not Carrey receives his full asking price in a market where most people are just happy to get what they paid for out of the home.

Do you think Jim Carrey’s Malibu beach house is a bargain at $14 million?

It's easy for a High School drop out to act like an idiot but he has made a success of it.

  2. Bargain? Based on their description, it sounds like a rip-off. Good luck getting full asking price.

  3. Why is this a "famous" home? Did it belong to Rudolph Valentino? Was it used in a classic movie? Was somebody murdered there?

  4. $14 Million for 2900 sq feet? I don't care if it's the land of OZ! No thank you!

  5. Who fucking cares.

  7. Hmmm he bought it at the height of the market for 9.75 million and wants to sell it for 13.95 10 years later? He might get what he paid for it because it was Jim Carey's house. There is some BS real estate agent pumping him up with that price tag……

I would give him The $13.95 without the millions it don't look all that nice to ME!

  11. No, not worth the price. Malibu is famous for mud slides. Imagine 14 million sliding down the mountain into the sea.

Surprised that it is only 5 bedrooms. No thank you!

  15. And at 2900sq feet they aren't big rooms either. Essentially, it's a $300k house in Hawaii owned by a celebrity. What does this tell us? Well, the best way to add value to your home is not to paint it or fix the roof, it's to be famous. Oh and maybe leave the hose on overnight to get a water view, lol.
