There have been stories piecing together the fateful brothel vacation that ended with Lamar Odom being rushed to the hospital. It’s been business as usual at the Love Ranch. In fact, if you scan the Twitter account of the Love Ranch and owner Dennis Hof, you might not realize that someone nearly died there at all. There are advertisements for streaming videos that allow fans to join the party from the comfort of their home. There are notices about which renowned adult entertainers are taking residency at the Love Ranch. There are themed days, and lots of sexual references to go along with them. But there is very little about Lamar Odom, who, on October 13, inadvertently became their most infamous patron. There may be a reason for that, and the reason isn’t pretty.

Last week, Radar Online reported that the proprietor of the Love Ranch, Dennis Hof, threatened to sue Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom if the former NBA player’s bill isn’t settled.

“If I don’t get paid for the entire bill, I’ll sue Khloe, I know she has the money. We have Lamar on tape signing the credit card statement — we have a copy of his driver’s license — he was the one that determined the $75K price for the two hookers.”

Apparently, Khloe Kardashian hasn’t refused to pay the bill, but Hof from making sure that Khloe knows she’ll face a fight if she tries. To be fair, despite the tragic end of Lamar Odom’s stay at the Love Ranch, he stayed there for four days before he collapsed and suffered a series of strokes. And Hof has to pay the women who entertained Lamar Odom during those four days. Except, Hof reportedly doesn’t intend to pay the women at all.

According to a report from TMZ, Hof refused to pay the women who entertained Lamar Odom during his stay at the Love Ranch. In fact, Hof suspended both women indefinitely after they were allegedly reluctant to answer questions about Lamar Odom and his drug use during their stay with him. Hof alleges that both women knew that drug use is strictly forbidden at the Love Ranch, and neither reported witnessing Lamar Odom’s drug use to management. Originally, Hof was supposed to claim half of the $75,000 Lamar Odom paid during his stay at the Love Ranch, leaving each woman to split $37,500. Maybe Hof needs the money to keep the Love Ranch afloat. After all, investigations and potential lawsuits cost money, and business might be slow at the Love Ranch after such a high profile suspected overdose.

Except, business isn’t slow at the Love Ranch. In fact, it’s booming. According to TMZ,business has tripled at the Love Ranch in the wake of Lamar Odom’s collapse. They cite none other than Dennis Hof as their source. Reportedly, patrons who spend more than $500 at the Love Ranch can get an up close view of the room where Lamar Odom nearly died, assuming it’s available. The suite is reportedly booked has a one month waiting list. To be fair, if recent reports are true, Hof may need that money to stave off a flurry of lawsuits.

According to Hollywood Life, some of the prostitutes who worked at the Love Ranch quit the night Lamar Odom arrived. But the women didn’t quit in a furry over not being chosen for the promised pay day that Odom represented. According to them, they quit in protest because the management of the Love Ranch pushed Odom to choose women with a reputation of hard partying. If those allegations are true, at a minimum Hof can expect Khloe Kardashian to fight payment — assuming that the Nye County Sheriff can’t prove that Dennis Hof facilitated Lamar Odom’s drug use, at which point criminal charges could come into play.
