Is Teresa Giudice Helping Bravo Cast ‘The Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Season 7?

Teresa Giudice may be currently incarcerated, but according to a September 30 report by Real Mr. Housewife, Bravo is interested in what she has to say, when it comes to the casting of The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 7.

Below is what a source revealed about Teresa Giudice to Real Mr. Housewife:

“The casting department definitely cares about what [Teresa Giudice] thinks of the cast. As they’ve waited for her to begin the show, they definitely want her input for who she thinks would make a good cast.”

Teresa Giudice began starring on The Real Housewives of New Jersey during season 1, and ever since, she has been featured in a full-time role. Throughout the series’ six seasons, many wives have come and gone, including Danielle Staub, Dina Manzo, Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita, but when it comes to Teresa Giudice, producers have chosen to keep her on the show all along. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Teresa Giudice will be calling the shots for season 7. While Teresa Giudice’s opinion will certainly be taken into account, it won’t overrule what’s best for the series.

“Production does care about [Teresa Giudice’s] opinion on who would be good on the show, but fans need not fear, as they will still ensure the final cast will be one that would sonically work to make a good show.”

Teresa Giudice entered prison on January 5 after pleading guilty to charges of bank and wire fraud several months prior. During court, Teresa Giudice’s husband, Joe, also received a prison term of 41 months, but due to the couple’s four children needing to have a parent present at all times, the judge on the case allowed the couple to serve their terms one after the other. While Teresa Giudice’s sentence was for 15 months, she will not serve the full time. Instead, she will serve just under 12 months. And once she’s released, Joe will be forced to turn himself in.

In the meantime, Teresa Giudice’s husband and children have been filming a reality documentary, which will air in three parts next month. The show, titled The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In, will follow the family of Teresa Giudice as they attempt to navigate through life without her.

As for the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, it likely would have already completed production, had Teresa Giudice not been incarcerated.

In the latest report regarding the show, E! News claimed Traci Lynn Johnson, a friend of Teresa Giudice’s sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, would not be joining the series, as previously believed, and that producers had since moved on to Siggy Flicker, a matchmaker in New Jersey. In addition, Gorga and Jacqueline Laurita would reportedly return.

As fans will recall, Laurita had been a full-time housewife with her on-again, off-again friend, Teresa Guidice, from season 1 to season 5, but ahead of season 6, she was reportedly kicked off the show, but only temporarily. After ratings on the series dropped following Laurita’s exit, producers brought her back to the show midway through season 6, and reportedly intend to include her in a full-time role for season 7.

Teresa Giudice is expected to speak out about her time in prison upon her release, and there have also been reports about a possible book deal, although the idea has yet to be confirmed.

Teresa Giudice will be released from prison on December 23.
