Watch Beverly Johnson And Heidi Thomas Recount Bill Cosby Sexual Assaults In ‘Cosby: The Women Speak’

Heidi Thomas and Beverly Johnson are just a small fraction of more than 50 women have come out to accuse 78-year-old comedian Bill Cosby of drugging and raping them in the last year. For A&E’s Cosby: The Women Speak, Heidi and Beverly both sat down in front of the camera along with several other accusers to further reinforce their mission: that Bill suffers due repercussions for his actions.

Also a former model like Johnson, Thomas says she was tricked into meeting with Cosby based on the offer of getting a part on his hit primetime sitcom. When Heidi was asked to play the scene drunk, Bill slipped her a glass of wine to use as a prop, which was the last thing Thomas says she recalls that evening.

“He wasn’t too impressed [with my reading], and he said ‘Let’s try a cold read.’ So he handed me a script and the person who I’m supposed to be is clearly intoxicated, and I remember him saying ‘Heidi, have you ever been drunk?’ And I said, ‘No, not really.” And he said, ‘Well, how do you expect to play a role like this?’ And I literally don’t remember anything but one sip [after that].”

If even half of those accusations are true, that means comeuppance for dozens of the rapes or attempted rapes of women like Thomas and Beverly. Johnson previously wrote a lengthy essay for Vanity Fair where she spoke about Bill slowly winning her confidence before aggressively insisting that she try a drugged cappuccino while visiting his home one day.

Beverly realized shortly afterward that he was attempting to sexually assault her. She began to call Cosby a “motherf***er” repeatedly — which Johnson says pushed him over the edge.

“I recall his seething anger at my tirade and then him grabbing me by my left arm hard and yanking all 110 pounds of me down a bunch of stairs… When we reached the front door, he pulled me outside of the brownstone and then, with his hand still tightly clenched around my arm, stood in the middle of the street waving down taxis. When one stopped, Cosby opened the door, shoved me into it and slammed the door behind me without ever saying a word…. I looked at the cabbie and asked, as if he knew: ‘Did I really just call Bill Cosby ‘a motherf***er’?”

On A&E at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, Heidi Thomas and Beverly Johnson will detail the stories of their experiences at the hands of comedian Bill Cosby in Cosby: The Women Speak.
